You know who isn't getting enough credit? Marty Hurney

It's just a simple question, it's not rhetorical or some setup for an argument.

Because since I answered your first simple question, you have said nothing but “ this threads for me”. If you have a counter point, state it. But I’m not going to sit here and just answer questions with no response. Just address the one(s) I asked first.

Okay, you don't want to answer it. It's fine.

Let me ask you a simple question then. Who do you think has done the better job this season, Gettleman or Hurney?

I am no g man homer here but in all fairness, G man is literally fighting for his life with his cancer diagnosis, while still working as gm for an organization which isn't real well known for the autonomy of their gm's.  If you haven't ever had cancer, then let me tell you my friend  - getting well takes first place in your life and EVERYTHING else is a distant 2nd.

I mean, I'm not making any judgement. I was just asking his thoughts.

Restate the question.

Why is this thread directed towards me? You said it. What’s the issue?

And since my opinion warrants that response, what in my history shows complete bias towards either Hurney or Gettleman? Unlike yourself who has shown his favoritism in almost every post he makes. Maybe you could prove me wrong?

Oh, I thought that was obvious. The amount you're negging Hurney for past mistakes.

Sorry if I stated facts about your hero. Didn’t realize that this was a thread for atta-boys after 3 whole games. I mean, I plainly addressed and applauded his present work. What more do you want? Are we supposed to forget his 11 years here?

You do understand me though, right?

It's like saying I love the color blue. Though you know blue is kind of ugly, too dark, and really dingy looking. I actually think green is a better color.

Do I really like blue or did I make a ass covering political statement so I could share my actual feelings about blue?

Now answer my question, and please without paragraphs of garbage, actually only use one word. Do you think Gettleman or do you think Hurney has done a better job this past off-season, and season?

I have no clue what you’re talking about. Just say what you mean. You post this crap and call my posts garbage. What kind of spinning BS is this?

And how exactly would you like me to compare two different GMs in two completely different situations? By what?

    • Agreed on the last part. They can’t afford to lose all these games with Martin and Perets.
    • Yes.  And this converts directly to confidence.  Does the coach have confidence to call a deep dig or seam route?  Does Bryce have confidence in his ability to be the Alpha?  Do his teammates have confidence.  About film--when I see Cam Newton's pre-snap confidence vs. Bryce's, it is night and day.   Film--tells you if the WRs are open (why l love watching the Replay telecasts from the end zone cameras--you can see it.  I have seen 2 WRs open and Bryce's eyes are on the outlet WR or the pass rush. )  You can see progressions, and he has improved a bit--but he is very quick to rush through 1 and 2 and checkdown--that is a lack of confidence in his ability to read the defense.  I had a former NFL TE (Deems Maye) who played QB in high school (not sure about college) tell me that the best QBs read the defense by knowing where everyone will be when the ball is to arrive--not where they are.  I think his QB at the time was Humphries.  He said that Humphries would throw the ball into coverage before the cuts etc.  because he understood DB momentum, zone areas, etc.  and he could just see it.  Said so when people say nobody was open, they are usually right because nobody should be "open" when the QB has the ball--when the ball arrives, everyone should be open.  He said Humphries was never "great" but his skills were limited--from a small school--but his ability to read a defense made him never give up on a route.
