please point to the "really good" season Marty had outside of 2003 and 2005. In my book getting blown out in embarrassing fashion in the 1st round of the playoffs isnt a "really good" season, but to each their own.

I guess my "dumbass narative" is going by his stats, I didnt realize it was Fox's fault for not developing Jimmy Clausen into a powerhouse QB. Maybe it was Fox's fault for not developing all those 1st rounder picks he never had for like 3 years in a row. Probably Fox's fault for not signing any good free agents or signing bad players to mega deals. Probably Fox's fault for putting the team in a cap shithole for 7 seasons.

But hey, at least when Jerry Richardson banned him from trading away 1st round picks he managed to pick up Cam after a 2 win season. Kudos to the Hurndog

Hey dumbass thanks for proving my point.. 1st 8 years team never finished less than 7-9.. 3 playoffs runs 1 superbowl and 2 NFCC games.. Now stupid show how many teams had that much success over 8 years other than the Pat's, Eagals and Rams.. for 8 years you were fighting for playoff contention, you had meaningful games late in the year.. We never had to go thru a god awful 1-15, 2-14, or any other 5 win season.. Plain and simple for 8 years straight you fielded a competitive team that kept you engaged for most of the season.. Not saying Marty was great but it's stupid to act like he was horrible the whole time..

Would you rather have Dave Gettleman right now?

That's a hard question to answer. Hurney appears to have done well so far, but I also wonder what Gman could have done without JR's thumb pressing down on him. Some of the moves he made were "family" moves that had JR written all over them. A few games in and the Giants are a disaster, but to be fair, it takes more than an offseason to right a sinking ship, and they have Shula. No amount of HoF GM'ing can make up for that head coaching blunder. Gman made some bad draft moves, and that Kalil contract, I've crapped prettier turds after eating a 2 day old roach coach burrito. That is right up there with Delhomme's extension after the Arizone playoff blowout.

I'm done with this stupidity.. Netheir I nor Marty gives a poo if he gets credit from madden Gms.. And all the Gman love that still here is great but we will see his true skills when he has to build this Giants team from scratch.. So far he has already made 1 mistake.. Not taking one of the young QBs and sticking with Eli is already haunting him...

I've actually given credit to Marty earlier and said that he has done well in his second tenure in a post here a few days ago. I don't think Gettleman is as terrible as he is made out to be, but I think also think he didn't fit what JR wanted here. It appears he may have indeed addressed the line issue but Ron was stubborn and kept vets in when better options were available. I do feel that JR had a huge impact on the GM position for both Hurney and Gettleman. Hurney in his first tenure was probably more of a yes man and it bit the team in the ass. Gettleman was more business and lacked finesse with players. The best GM would probably be a combination of the two. Hopefully the season comes together well, and Hurney has become a better GM with contracts and draft day trades. I hope he has great success, because that means the Panthers do.

I think Gman is a better scout and talent evaluator.. A bare bones football guy with no personal skills...I think Marty is a better politician GM .. Good with relationships and letting other ppl do their job.. While keeping the owner and players happy..

Calls me a dumbass for posting the teams stats for Hurneys tenure,  then proceeds to say 7-9 and 8-8 were contending Superbowl seasons.

Stupid people are entertaining. Continue on with your emotional meltdown like a teenage female when defending a tard GM.

Hurney magic!!!!

Don't forget, Hurney was highly praised his first few years here.   He could just be starting the cycle back over.  Then we can bitch about him 5 years from now when he pays CMC Tom Brady money.
