I'm always curious what the spark is for international folks to become Panthers fans.

Me too, man. It’s really interesting to me. We talked to a lot of fans and the second video we do will be more about all of them.

Probably cam. He’s like the fuging David Bowie of football

Lots of Cam - lots of Luke. Surprisingly many have been around before those guys got here.

I think the actual number is three, but your point is valid. The other purpose of our trip was to do due diligence for a London Away game experience “just in case” we get one next year.

Wikipedia, fwiw, says Packers and Panthers are the two after this season.without an international game. Not London specific. The Texans played in Mexico City.

O.K.

I  don't  post  much  on  here, but  I  have  put  on  here  before,  what  I  told  Zack  in  London.

Football  was  first  shown  in  the  UK  in  1983.  Washington  were  the  top  team  for  2 or  3 years  and  they  were  on  regularly .I  visited  L.A. in  the  mid  eighties  and  followed  the  Raiders,  until  they  went  back  to  Oakland . The  coverage  here  was  very  haphazard  for  years,  very  littlecoverage  on obscure  channels . I  have  always  disliked  bandwagon  fans, and  when  we  started  getting  more  football  coverage ,the  NFL  announced  an  expansion  team  and  I  decided  to follow  them  without even  knowing  where  the  Carolinas  were .

We  get  no  choice  of  games  in  the  UK  and  before  streaming  of  games  was  mostly  following  play  by  play  on  NFL .com  and  watching  the  highlight  show .

I  really  enjoyed  Sunday  in London  with  the  riot  even  though  I  didn't  get  home  until  2.15 a.m.

I'm  the  old  guy  in the  McCaffrey  shirt  (the Peppers one is worn out now) in the  pictures  and  video.

Wow! They almost have better fans in London than NC. Go to any random bar in Durham or Chapel Hill on game day  and you’ll be hard-pressed to find a group of Panthers fans. It’s always Steelers, Cowboys, Seahawks/whatever bandwagon is hot.

Well, that is at least partially due to the fact that the Panthers game is on broadcast television in NC, while you need to have a satellite package to watch those games.  Go to most homes, and the Panthers will be on.

And Steeler/Cowboy/Seahawk fans probably need to drink a lot to stomach their teams this year.  :)

Awesome to have you here and as a fan DCR. Some times teams can be like women (or men for the women),. You have to go through a few bad ones before you get the right one. lol I was a Dallas fan before we had the Panthers.

but after Jerry ran Jimmy out of town, I grew to hate them and Jerry. Never liked that SOB.

Same here, well except I'm in my 50s I disowned them then. The Panthers came alone at the perfect time. one of my favorite games will always be when we beat them in the playoff game.
