PFF: Panthers Defensive line has been average. 17th best in the NFL.

At the end of the day we are 2-1,.. the rest doesnt matter.

I dont care if we win a Superbowl as the 22nd ranked passing team and 17th ranked defensive line,. its better than losing a Superbowl after 28-3 with the number 1 offense and number 9 defense,....bawahahahhahaha.

I think many people want to lose pretty more than they want to win,..even if its ugly,...winning ugly beats losing pretty any day of the week.

Let's hope Obada is not a one-hit wonder. Teams don't have much, if any, film on him, so I'm hoping the Panthers can take advantage of that for the next several games.

We need TD back something fierce. The Shaq Thompson experience is about to come to a halt at the end of the year, IMO. His output just simply doesn't match up with what his talent says it should.

This isnt surprising, plenty people tried to state in the off season that the D line was overrated. A lot of sacks last year was a result of heavy blitzing as the d line cant be relied on to get it done alone.  As it looks right now the secondary is the only unit that looks promising for the future, the other units need a complete overhaul outside of 2-3 players. Right now i will let shaq walk after this year, he is not proved he deserves a hefty new contract. If you are constantly disappearing playing next to the best LB in the league it says a lot.

Is the 3rd game. Where get it together by mid season. Just need to get the band all back together. Get these young guys more reps so they learn how to set the edge.

The 2019 class is deep at Dline & Tackles. I wouldn’t be against Hurney going all in next yr on the right fit. Bosa being injured could help him fall to us possibly. Ferrell ain’t happening, but would love.

3rd game or not, as many others have reiterated in this thread. The D-Line is massively overrated. They're average as fug right now, the majority of the sacks last year were because of blitzing. So...........

I mean I agree. We have who we have that’s just reality.  Where address it next yr for sure. Until then I trust the coaching staff to keep getting these guys ready.

I don't trust them. Ron can't talent evaluate worth a damn. Took him two damn games to get Obada in. Ridiculous.

Meh...

The sacks will come. Both Peppers and Addison are off to a slow start but it looks like we have something in Obada. It would also be nice to see Haynes get a chance since he couldn’t possibly be any worse in run support than Cox has been. I also suspect Horton will find his game as he typically has been really solid against the run.

The run defense will also sure up once TD gets back. Having Mayo out there in a position he isn’t used to trying to make up for the porous defense by Cox and Horton makes us look much worse than we are right now.
