Jimmy G is out for the year. No chance of winning anything. I would have held out for something better too. Especially since the 49ers have given their former 1st round pick the cold shoulder up until this point.

Reid is now in a much better situation. He went all in and won. Now he just needs to produce on the field and he will get his payday.

Pretty sure the Seahawks were interested in him also. Must’ve seen the Panther situation as the best fit for him and he could start immediately.

He wasn't offered, from what I recall. Think it was just interest shown.

49's had given Reid an offer around $5.6 mil but he didn't accept offer.

Panthers are defiantly a great spot for him, but I think the owner standing up for his players had a lot to do with him choosing Carolina

it's not that interesting. the protest worked and then dwindled, its life cycle is over and continuing no longer has the same effect. he had the fist up at his contract signing, he'll continue to express his beliefs.
