This guy doesn't football does he?

ESPN had to wait for Steven A Smith to get involved b/c racism. But that was the title when Newton posted it.

He's every bit as horrible as Joe Person ever was. Honestly, he's a lot worse. He must be family to some high ranking ESPN exec or something.

To be fair, writers don't generally write the headlines that go on the website.

As long as it said safety in the story, you couldn't really blame Newton.

Newton's biggest problem is that he doesn't have a football background. It becomes painfully obvious when he discusses things like right tackles.

Newton was a NASCAR reporter before ESPN a sign of the Panthers beat. I always found it kind of disrespectful to the Panthers that they didn't assign somebody with more of a football background. Back in 2015 when we were in the midst of our Super Bowl run, they had some better reporters on the beat.

I still wonder if we would have gotten a permanent replacement had we won that game.
