Depending on Moores and Samuels contributions yes. We have what we need. Our division is still rough though and want be a cake walk for teams like the Rams and Eagles.

The talent is there. We just have to wait and see how it all comes together.

Panthers could be top 3-5 range in nfc, but able to upset anyone at any time. Lets see if they can win this division first though. Panthers really need home field advantage in these playoffs.

I'm a homer, but I think we are always contenders even if our team looks like trash at times. As long as we have Cam the Panthers can always go toe to toe with any team, no matter how stacked. With more good additions our chances always improve and of course a little luck helps, but no doubt in my mind if we make the playoffs we can definitely make some noise on the path to the super bowl.

Difference is people were hyperventilating about the state of our online before the actual season started. If anyone was paying attention they would have saw that Moton and Van Roten were playing great throughout the preseason, and pretty much Kalil and Amini were starters by name only and didn't play as such. The only question mark was who how to make up for the lost of Daryl Williams.

The Falcons on the other hand lost real playmakers on that defense, and their play shows it on the field. However their offense has been lights out in the dome, but what happens when they have to step outside of those perfect conditions can they continue to play lights out on the road, because their defense will have a hard time stopping people this year.

We need to win the South----not an easy task (Bucs, Saints, Falcons).  Then we have to rise above  the Rams, Eagles, Vikings,  Packers,   If the Panthers get hot and stay injry free from here out--we have the personnel.

I expect the offensive chemistry to continue to improve.  Olsen will be back soon.  Samuel could add a spark.  Moore will gradually become more relevant. Smith may start getting it. 

To be honest, the big runs against the DL have been on the DEs.  Horton has been bad.  They need to step down and squeeze more, and I am not seeing it. Davis coming back will help, because he fills the void in these situations---Thompson is not that guy.  Hope that makes sense.

I will.say reid makes us better, but this team still has a lot to prove. I dont know why i even act like the overreaction wasnt coming but mainly i want to see improvement in the passing game, pass rush, and actually beating teams in our division before i jump the gun.

My fellow huddlers I rarely post on here, and have been enjoying this forum for years now. I must say I always get a good laugh/headshake/what in the hell face when I'm on here. With that being said I believe you all are missing what we are getting here with Eric Reid. 

So let's start with his age. He's 26.....TWENTY-SIX. We just added a young player to this defense, and that within itself is a win. Mike Adams is closer to 50 than he is to 20, and he is a starting safety for this team. 

Eric brings with him playoff experience, and deep playoff experience at that. He's a Pro Bowler and was a major contributor on defense. Now most will say that he hasn't been that good as of late or that his health is an issue. Though let's pump the brakes right there. As far as safeties and corners go those positions are the hardest to have GREAT EYE POPPING performance when the team around you isn't that good. So even with him dealing his concussions and other knacks he still did pretty good considering the team around him. 

Now here's the exciting part. Do you remember when we last had a complete defense, or something close to it. It was 2015. We had a perfect marriage of pressure and coverage. Now I remember very clearly that besides Norman that we didn't have any world beaters in the secondary. Coleman was more of a good player than he was a "GREAT" Player, and Reid is wayyyy better considering all that he can do.

So what do we have now versus then. Our D-line is almost comparable to then, the issue we had this season is the coverage wasn't holding and now that has been solved. I strongly believe that Obada can be consistent due to his size, length, and his hunger.....the dude is determined. With him learning from Peppers and being surrounded by this group of guys I believe we have something special with him(he's also 26 as well). Pretty much the same linebacker core, no change there.

Now here is my favorite. We have an absolute ball Hawk in Donte Jackson, at first I didn't like the pick as I felt we needed a safety BADDDD and you had options on the board. I'm not a fan of his size, but the kid's heart makes you fall in love. With Brad "The Cool" Berry on the otherside we have a nice young tandem, and now you add Reid with his experience and playmaking skills as well???? That's a combination for a consistent scary D over the next few years. 

So huddlers rejoice and don't have on such reluctant faces. Look for the positives and realize we just got away with armed robbery. When Eric Reid really gets himself in game shape I'm pretty sure this guy is going to the Pro Bowl and I am willing to bet on it. We got a young Star Player for cheap. Let's be glad and enjoy this ride again. Plus Cam is back having fun. How could any of you think we weren't going back to the Super Bowl? The only thing that can stop this team from going there, besides injury, is Ron with his conservative play-calling. But that's for another day either way. KEEP POUNDING
