Re-picking the drafts of the past 3 years... Who's still here, who is replaced? A Bye week reflection...

Rd2: Curtis Samuel
Status: Miss, so far
I know I'll get hate for this, but we haven't been able to rely on him. If he can't get on the field and make plays, we would have been better drafting Marcus Williams or Justin Evans here and having a good, young safety right n

Unsubscribe.

Samuel is easily the best WR on the team. He had zero injury history before getting drafted. It’s honestly really abnormal he’s not handling the load right now.

When he’s healthy, he’ll be the best WR on the team and making plays. Far as I know, Panthers are just being cautious and I would be surprised if he isn’t back after the bye. From Dr. Chao’s evaluation to just the “minor” type of surgery he faced, all likelihood we’re just being cautious rather than it being serious.

All serious, fair list and hard to argue with anything other than Samuel tbh. Hindsight with knowing how he’d all of a sudden be injury prone, guess you could argue your case with Samuel. Even then, still believe he could honestly be the best WR from that draft.

I wanted JuJu really bad in the 2nd last year

All honesty with hindsight, I still wouldn’t know if I’d take him.

What JuJu did was phenominal. He was basically DJ Moore based on college tape. He can do some stuff, but man his snaps against press were ugly. Most scouting reports I saw noted that.

Steelers coaching staff did a great job focusing in on fixing his technique and it shows. Looks like a completely different WR out there.

However, the question remains even if we drafted JuJu, could we fix up his press technique as fast as the Steelers did? DJ Moore has shown in preseason his press technique isn’t all that fixed yet. That tells me we’re likely not as well off fixing that.

So, with hindsight, I’d still be iffy on JuJu.

I really liked Corn in college and I hope he continues to grow. LSU cbs are always a relatively smart pick. If Greedy Williams is somehow available for us in the first round  I will quite literally need new pants. Bookend our man D Jackson with Greedy and watch the int flood in!

Good post.

I wanted JuJu really bad in the 2nd last year and hated the fact we went with Samuel.

How is this a good post? We could've had Tom Brady in the 5th round too, but we didn't cause that's not how it works. Also, how the fk is it "too early to tell" for Moore, Gaulden, Elder, etc. but it's an "epic win" for a guy who has played exactly 3 games of professional regular season football?

Edit: Damn, I just saw who posted the thread too. No offense to Bronn, he's one of my top 10 or so Huddlers lol.

Yeah because everyone talked about picking Tom Brady before he was picked right?

Go crawl back into whatever hole you came out of.

That's my point, lol. "We could've had this All-Pro undrafted free agent in the 7th round, but instead we picked *insert whoever here,* terrible pick!" These types of hindsight-based threads are pointless and we shouldn't be judging our team's drafts based on who went after them. That's just stupid, we picked who we picked because we thought they were the best player to pick right there and right then. Period.

There’s enough of us on this board that enjoy discussing draft prospects every year. We have certain guys we want and that’s the point of these for some us. We’re not being unrealistic and saying we should’ve drafted Tom Brady because no one was talking about Tom Brady. As long as people can be honest about their hits and misses these discussions can be interesting
