Torrey Smith wants Eric Reid on the Panthers

I wouldn't mind Reid, but I'd prefer someone else, simply because of Reid's concussion history. Doubt there's anyone available as good without a trade scenario.

Torrey made a mistake in making these comments publicly, however. Not gonna earn him any points with our defense, and likely won't sit well with Ron.

It’s amazing to me how angry some of you get just at the mention of Eric Reid’s name.  Such angry people.

I don't give a crap if we sign Reid or not, but I'm not so sure this was a good way to approach it.

The one question I'd have for people thinking the Panthers would avoid Reid for political reasons, if that were so, why would we acquire a guy with similar views in Torrey Smith?

As far as Reid himself, his concussions worry me a lot more than his politics.

I'm sure Rashaan Gaulden and Colin Jones appreciate the sentiment.

The only issue is it happening THIS week after Colin Jones looked like poo and everyone was clamoring for a change. But Torrey would have said the same thing about Eric Reid in preseason, after Week 1, after Week 2, etc. Didn't sound like he was attacking anyone to me.

Starship Huddleverse is now at warp speed.

Fearlessly clueless, navigating through a vast galaxy of largely useless, sensationally speculative sports tweets, drawing remarkable connections from one unassociated comment to another unrealistic possibility.

It is truly one small deal for man, one giant goddamn mood-altering catastrophe for huddlekind.

I thought it was when he was working out with all pro receivers from other teams, like AB.  I could be wrong.

The closest thing I can remember to that is Newton thanking the team for drafting DJ Moore.

Generally speaking, all teams (not just the Panthers) don't really like it when a player lobbies for them to sign a certain guy without talking to them first. Besides the fact that it can be seen as insulting to current players who might play their position, it makes it awkward if it's someone the team's not interested in, and gives their agent a talking point if they are.

That's not political. That's business.

Reid doesn't have to drop the lawsuit, the NFL can kill it whenever they like by just letting him field offers. Do nothing while safety needy teams pretend like they aren't interested only adds to his case.

I wonder if the Illuminati, Free Masons, or Knights Templar are involved as well?
