Torrey Smith wants Eric Reid on the Panthers

Hey Torrey, shut the fug up and catch a freakin pass more consistently! If you could hold on to a damn pass as well as you hold you phone to Tweet maybe the passing game would be more consistent and we'd actually have a deep threat, which was the main reason you were brought here.

On top of, as you have repeatedly pointed out, his concussion history.

Reid's concussion history makes Luke's look like Pop Warner stuff.

What shape is he in? Does he even want to play or just acting like he does? And we were never talking about an elite Safety. He was solid, which would be fine, but that was a year ago with no football activity since.

Get Karl Joseph instead. Depending on how hurt he is?

Reid also lost his starting job last year. He's not even very good. He's also a box SS not a FS and we need a FS to replace Jones/Searcy. I think people are just enamored because they have heard of him before. Not because they know a damn thing about him.

Not while he's engaged in an active lawsuit.

If we were just talking about controversial comments, then maybe. The lawsuit makes it a lot more than that..

I have a feeling us and a bunch other teams would have contacted him if he hadn't filed a lawsuit.

Another huge problem. Well said. I would rather try a CB at FS than run another slow FS out there. You can’t hit anyone anyhow?   A decent tackler with coverage skills.

I'm 100% guilty of this. Easy to get wrapped up in a name.

I would love for us to sign Reid, but obviously myself and Torrey Smith will approach this from a much different perspective than Ron or the FO...we don’t have to deal with any of the repercussions of the signing. We aren’t the ones who are going to pay his salary...manage the salary cap after the signing...deal with the incessant media circus around a signing like this...

This is a milder version of your average Huddler sitting on the couch in these past few years like “SIGN EVERYONE!!! TRADE FOR EVERYONE!!!! WTF!!!”, meanwhile we have no cap space. That’s like saying us Huddlers have more sense than the FO for wanting to trade for Khalil Mack or something...we don’t deal with the business portion of this.

But wait...do you mean the Huddle isn't solely comprised of former GMs?  I was misled.

He only played SS his last year. FS every other year and that includes the year he made the pro bowl. Regardless he's better than Colin Jones. He may have lost his job but that was with actual safety's not a ST guy pretending to be a safety

    • I didn't say much bigger. Watch the highlights I linked. Bryce doesn't have the arm strength and/or talent to make the vast majority of the throws Mac made in that video.
    • Tetairoa McMillan.   The last 28 1st overall picks were either a QB, DE, or OT. Seeing as I don't think we'd take an OT in the 1st and give up on Ickey as an LT yet and there doesn't seem to be a clear overall #1 type of QB or DE pick this year, it very well could be a non conventional #1 overall this year, at least in regards from the last almost 3 decades of drafts. If we didn't have Horn, I'd be more open to Hunter as a CB at #1, but we have him so another CB wouldn't be how I'd use a #1 pick.  And as much as I love Legette, if we have SB contending aspirations, I don't think Legette is a #1 on a team like that, but he damn sure is an elite #2 on a team like that.  He's more of the Smith/Higgins/Waddle to Brown/Chase/Hill (in terms of role/impact, not style of play of course). T-Mac is going to be the top ranked WR on every team's board in the end.  He is going to be a true outside #1 WR who is viewed as a consensus Top 5 WR in the game by his second contract in the same way guys like Jefferson and Chase have done.  His height combined with his speed, athleticism, and hands are near impossible to find all in one player, there is a reason his generally used comp is Mike Evans (although as he's not as thick, I personally see him more as an AJ Green). Yes, as an Arizona alum I've admitted to having bias towards the player to begin with.  But he's also someone very widely being put into the Top 5 in mock drafts lately and most of them have him as the first non QB offensive player being taken, so it's not really THAT much of a homer pick on my part anyways. If a QB or DE truly separate themselves as being a can't miss prospect come draft day, I'm open to that discussion, but until then, or if it doesn't happen, T-Mac is my pick 100 times out of 100.
