jordan obviously asked him about eric reid.

"I love Eric Reid like a brother and wish him the best, but I'm a Carolina Panther now and I support my teammates on defense 100%."

People always want to critique Cam's comments... OK, I just gave you the better "football cliche" option of what Smith could have said above if he was a "leader" of this team.

Going to ignore the TS hate train and simply say this.

Eric Reid should be a Panther tomorrow and I couldn't care less if he wants to sit down or on a knee this is a football team that needs a Safety and it doesn't really matter where that player stands politically

First, Cutting Smith doesn’t help us. His 5 million for this season was fully guaranteed as soon as he was active for game 1.

On the other hand, If Torrey Smith is the voice of reason that ends up helping us sign Eric Reid, then that 5 million ends up being well worth it.

Offer him vet minimum or so, or be cut, then use the savings to sign Reid on one-year prove-it deal.

There is no savings. His 5M salary was guaranteed after week 1. It’s gone. Which is why this should have happened before then.

Think everyone outside of Marty and Ron want him

But of course Ron:

"We felt very comfortable about the way our guys played"

A good chunk of this fan base wants Torrey Smith gone and Reid in.

Meanwhile, Smith continues to start and drop passes.  And Collin Jones starts, gets torched while Ron talks how well they played

But of course, this may be just all coach-speak from Ron.  Remember how staunchly he supported Amini in all those pressers, then kept him on the bench.
