Were you here for Foxie ?

Fox was actually a better game-day coach than Ron, I mean, he at least understood how the clock worked and timeouts.    I wouldn't say overall Fox was better, that is Rivera.     Both are mediocre head coaches but Ron is superior on the defensive side by far.    At the end of the day, they are both coaches that coach like it's 1985 and are firmly in the middle of the pack of coaches.

It's tough because Ron is a legit good guy and I think he does a good job actually teaching. He just really is the worst gameday coach I think I've ever seen.

Panthers have been to the playoffs 4 out of the past 5 years . . . I wouldn't call that bad game day coaching.  People here think Vince Lombardi is waiting to step in at a moment's notice if Ron was ever let go.  Look around the league, we could do much worse.

Never had back to back winning seasons and one of those playoff years was a 7-8-1 season.    We definitely could do worse, but we could do better as much as we could worse.

I think Seattle is trying to get Dallas to do something desperate. When Dallas doesn't Seattle will settle for a third and fifth rounder bc that's all they're going to get

Meanwhile, Thomas is skipping practices and committing unsportsmanlike conduct penalties I games.

I think one of Ron's biggest gameday weaknesses was trusting the wrong guy to run the offense.

Yeah, that's fixed now, but it's fair to say that it went on way longer than it should have.

I guess this mediocre franchise is comfortable remaining mediocre.  They  apparently still don't have any interest in winning Super Bowls.

This statement, which we see quite often around here, continues to baffle me. Do folks truly believe that these people. Who have worked their butts off for the majority of their lives getting to this point. Are really content with mediocrity?

These players, and coaches, have worked too dang hard, have too much pride, and way to much competitive spirit. To settle for mediocrity.

We are 51-29 over the last 5 years. And we have started this year 2-1 That does not strike me as mediocre in the least.
