Everyone on the line did a good job EXCEPT POE. All of our FA signings were a waste of money. CJ doesn't see the field, Torrey unfortunately sees the field, Poe does nothing. Well Wright was a great signing but was mostly absent sunday, but Cam tried to spread the ball around.

Technically, Smith wasn't a FA signing since we traded Worley to Philadelphia for him.

"Offseason acquisitions" would be more accurate.  :P

I imagine Cam got dinged for throwing high a few times and not really being able to stretch the Bengal's D downfield, but man, I feel like all these rating systems undervalue the QB running for first downs and TDs. It's not a given that you're gonna score if you get near the goal line for any other team in the league, except us. The yards he picks up with his legs are often huge in determining the outcome, not just numbers on a stat sheet, the game was effectively over when Cam scrambled for that first down to setup Gano. I will say, there were a couple drives where Norv had it going so good with McCaffrey that you could have thrown Jimmy Clausen back there and still scored lol.

Current OL active and how/when they were acquired:

C - Ryan Kalil - 2nd round (59th overall pick)/2007 draft (Hurney)

C - Tyler Larsen - FA/2016 (Gettleman)

G - Brendan Mahon - UDFA/2018 (Hurney)

G - Amini Silatolu - 2nd round (40th overall pick)/2012 draft (Hurney)

G - Greg Van Roten - FA/2017 (Hurney) <-- (this one is a little iffy because Van Roten was signed barely a week after Gettleman was fired, so was all the scouting and negotiating work already done before Gettleman was gone?)

G - Trai Turner - 3rd round (92nd overall pick)/2014 draft (Gettleman)

T - Chris Clark - FA/2018 (Hurney)

T - Corey Robinson - Trade with Detroit/2018 (Hurney) <-- (is it known yet what the draft choice is we traded? i'm assuming conditional 7th or something?)

T - Taylor Moton - 2nd round (64th overall pick)/2017 (Gettleman)

Current OL on injured list and how/when they were acquired:'

T - Daryl Williams - 4th round (102nd overall pick)/2015 (Gettleman)

T - Matt Kalil - FA/2017 (Gettleman)

Its kind of stunning and unbelievable that of the players above that were originally drafted by the Panthers, the most "expensive" was...

Guess we shouldn't be that surprised.  Every year, the Huddle's biggest concerns during TC and preseason (O-Line this year) usually turn out okay and it's a completely different position group that is our Achilles heel.  With all that being said, the O-line has been impressive through 3 games.

ironically, most of us (myself included) were sure that our stellar WR corps would be the beat we ever had. 3 games in and it's the exact opposite.

FWIW, I still think that this young WR group will show out come late November/December.

There aren't the right words in the English language for me to explain just how furious I was when we drafted this POS. I was watching the draft live at a bowling alley and I swear I could have squeezed the bowling ball down into a fine powder.

I was so ecstatic when I saw us draft Kuechly and I thought it was a sign of a good draft to come... then we watched us take Silatolu from MIDWESTERN FUGGIN STATE with so much talent on the board still... we could have gotten him in the 5th round or later he was on no one's radar.
