I have to say, I think we hit a home-run with the Donte Jackson pick. While he's had a few rookie mistakes, he's had far more great plays and plenty of swag we haven't seen in our secondary...since Norman.

Anyways, he now leads the NFL in interceptions. Well, technically tied with Miami CB Xavien Howard if we want to get technical. But otherwise, he's pretty much tops in the NFL in takeaways.

Has a forced fumble as well. Want to see the importance of S&C? Lookat CMC's stiff arm of the linebacker and Jacksons take down of that crossing route without even budging.

This rookie is a baller.

not knocking our boy D-Jack, but id love to see him intercept a ball bc he jumps a route.

So far he has proven he can be in the right place at the right time so far.

...and being In the right place at the right time is HUGE for a rookie and puts him ions above our secondary of the past three years

Hoping so. I always hesitate to sign on to something like that too quickly because sometimes people flash early and then disappear (Sherrod Martin, for example).

My biggest concern with Jackson isn't so much skill-based as it is health-based. I'm hoping his early issues are just part of his transition to the pros and they'll fade in time.

And yeah, there is some transition. It's a lot longer season then he's played before, so we have to see how he looks come December. His having some hurts early on makes me raise my eyebrows, but it could be nothing (and I'm hoping it is).

For what it's worth, that's actually my worry with our new LT as well. He's looked good early but most players that are unemployed are unemployed for a reason. I'm hoping for consistency from him down the road.

Always remember, it's a marathon not a sprint.

Actually, it's hard to say with certainty, but it appeared the first INT he made today was bc he jumped the route.  Hard to tell because they didn't show it on the replay, but it appeared to be either a comeback or an out route and he got in front of the receiver for it.  But, regardless, having a nose for the ball is a skill within itself, and one our secondary has sorely needed since our all-pro CB was released.
