Every coach out there will tell a receiver that if he can get two hands on the ball it should be caught. The pass was a little high and slightly behind, but it was a very catchable ball.

Odell and Jarvis are so much smaller than Fuchess and yet they can make freak catches with their fingertips with regularity. NOt to mention Funchess hands have to be so much larger than either of those dudes.

If a ball hits funchess anywhere on his fingers he has a chance at catching it. Everything else is excuses. I'm looking at you too Torrey Smith.

I know I will get poo for this but I’ll call it like I see it. That unpsportansmanlike by Cam could have very well come back and bit us in the ass and we are fortunate our D stepped up on the Bengals next drive. He’s a vet now and the leader of this team and we need better than that from him.

With that being said, I’m hella excited about his evolution with Norv taking over the offense. I’m not a huge proponent of completion percentage but it’s very telling that he’s better with someone who knows how to utilize his talents.

What did Cam do?  Was at the game and it happened on the other side of the field..did not see it.

from what I saw on TV he threw the football down near the defender after the play was over

From Cam's press conference afterwards, he was trying to explain that the defender kept poking and prodding at the ball repeatedly and Cam kinda threw the ball down as his way to "let him have the ball."

I dont think there was anything remotely deserving of the penalty. Cam even helped the guy get up off the ground.

He flipped a ball at a defender after a run. I could be wrong but I’m sure I've seen him flagged for the exact same play in the past.

Nope, you are 100% correct. The ball wasn’t in the best position, but you can’t expect ANY QB to put it there ALL the time. Besides, as a #1, tha t is a pass you are expected to catch. He had both hands on it, the defender wasn’t draped over him, and he wasn’t anywhere near out of bounds. Have to make that catch

See: AJ Green, over-the-head catch, on the sideline, dragging a toe, for example.

Yeah yeah yeah. I saw the pass. It was high and behind like you said, but you forgot the extra mustard on it too. Many receivers wouldn't have even had a chance to get it. Word!

But Funchess did have a chance to get it. He put two solid hands on it and failed to pull it in. That's called a drop.

Unfortunately that's the difference between a top WR and a mid tier WR. Funchess is just a avg WR. So is the rest of Cam's weapons. Maybe Moore will be Moore but it's not looking good.

Funchess had a good game. That 2nd drive was mostly him.

Can't believe nobody is giving Adam's any credit in the secondary.

I do wish they'd let our rookie safety play.

Adams is playing solidly just like he did last year. Unspectacular, but solid. Which is all you can ask for a man who's a couple of years from the nursing home. LOL!

But seriously, Adams is fine. At his age, he's obviously just a stop gap, but he's not a huge problem in the defense. Colin Jones though...

Very "happily" surprised by the solid O-line play. Cam has time and they are creating running lanes. Without the injuries we would have never know how good these guys might be and they're just getting started. Wait till they gel.

CMC needs to be out there most of the time. CJ runs great but the defense knows what to expect. CMC creates doubt to what the play is. I do like when they're both out there (great play design on the TD). I do expect to see CJ a little more over time.

Can't wait to get Samuel in the line up. He probably would start of Smith and with his speed (and cut ability) I would expect to see more space mid field for the TE and Funchess in the middle curls from Samuel running deep cuts.

Run defense is better but not where it should be. Poe is better the Star but was Star better at stopping the run or is it something else?

A-Jaz and C-Berry are solid. Need a safety. I didn't think Jones played terrible, in fact on big catch he was draped all over the guy it was just an amazing catch. But the longer the QB had the harder it is for him to stay with a guy in space (TDs). If a vet could step in and play great, he would have been starting, but he's a back up.

Cam is having fun and playing at a high level. It's not that it's 2015 over again. He's writing the 2018 story. Not perfect, just has to get us to the promise land.
