Yes, several sites have been pointing out that it's been a record few weeks for QBs.  But still, the improvement in Cam's accuracy is real, due in large part to him taking what the defense gives and throwing to his checkdowns much more.

So, I think it's a both / and.  Yes QBs are on fire.  Yes Cam is improving.  Cam's accuracy may never impress outside observers.  But by keeping drives alive with some shorter stuff, I think his overall game is going to keep getting more and more impressive as he gets to be a bit more selective with some of the big plays. Going for it when it's REALLY there, not because he HAS to...

Anyone paying attention has got to be scared of him.  More weapons, a new coordinator and improvement from an already scary good QB....  Yikes, I'm glad he's on our team!

IF Olsen can come back fairly healthy (I'm not certain), and Samuel can start taking some of Torrey's snaps, Cam will look even better moving forward.

To many fans, Cam's completion % wasn't such a big deal because of what he could do with his legs, but it's always made our offense a little boom or bust.  He's looking good out there, and we are scoring points...that's all I care about.

One of the big talking points when we acquired David Carr was that he had the best completion percentage in the league.

The thing about completion percentage with regard to quarterbacks though is that it's one of those stats where you can only control half of what happens. You could throw a perfect pass and have it dropped. You might also throw a lousy pass and have the receiver make a circus catch. The stat line won't reflect either of those things.

Again, more reasons why I prefer to go by what I see rather than appealing to stats.

When I'm looking at QB's it's certainly something I look at...but not nearly the only thing.

In Cam's case, you have to take into account the %...but more important is how many times he scores, or has a direct hand in the scoring.  Cam is a machine there.

I'm starting to wonder about our deep ball this year, but maybe it's just we don't have Samuel there, and our line has been too shaky to attempt 7 step drops consistently.  Either way, I'm happy to see some positive changes to this offense.
