Nope. We brought both Reid and Harrison in for private workouts. I was one of many in here that all said we’d love Reid in the 2nd. To think we could have traded up (our two 3rds or use next year’s 3rd since we have two next year) and gotten him at the bottom of the 2nd or top of 3rd pisses me off.

There’s always been two picks I didn’t like. Gaulden with all the safeties available instead of a project and Haynes with Crosby at T available.

It seems to be looking like not taking Ridley was a big mistake as well but I was cool with the Moore pick. I think he’ll be good, but Ridley definitely would have been better this year.

You could play this game every draft though. Should’ve picked this guy over this guy. I’m not saying Gaulden gonna be worth a damn, but Moore will be fine just stop overacting. In all honesty this is turning into one of , if not our best draft in franchise history from top to bottom. Don’t jump just yet lol

Trade for Earl Thomas idgaf

Yup that's the one I want and he is supposedly getting looked at for trade(rumors). Someone supposedly offered a 2nd so I'd do a 2nd and a 5th easily and cut T. Smith to recoup some of that money.

Steve Reed is reporting Panthers will re-sign Jarius Byrd this week.

Yea that's a Rivera move...this team doesn't make plays that could put them over they just try to squeak by, even when we have good teams you see this. Other teams actually make plays to improve their team, some of those are risky moves but we just make bitch moves or "safe" moves in that they are going to safely fail because it doesn't look as bad as a bold move that fails.

outside of a trade for thomas - what other options are there? Bring in safety whos hasnt played football in a year?

I can see why you feel that way after seeing their respective statistics 3 weeks into the season. But, if the Panthers and Falcons had switched picks in the draft I think Moore would have better stats with the Falcons than Ridley would have with the Panthers. There’s no guarantee Ridley would see much playing or get that many targets if he were playing with us. We all know hesitant Rivera can be when it comes to playing rookies/young players at the expense of less talented veteran players. If Ridley were playing here I doubt he’d be starting and he’d probably have stats similiar to Moore’s.

Outside of a trade for Thomas the point is beyond this year or that position. Was clear in the OP.

We should purchase a full page ad in the Observer to ask Tepper to put his money where his mouth is and encourage Hurney to sign Reid. He is way better than Colin Jones who is a huge liability.  He rightly said that the kneeling players are patriotic so what’s the problem???
