Has anyone noticed when Jake throws deep

Scherer actually worked with Jake alot in camp on moving within the pocket and sliding over to buy more time. That assumes that there is a pocket and he can step up. Frankly I haven't seen much of a pocket to step into. He was rattled against Philly and I am not sure he has recovered. But the line hasn't given him nearly the time or protection it did last year. They work hand in hand not in opposition.

Fox was right in saying that the whole offense has played poorly. Folks like you say you like Jake but I couldn't tell. Instead of a balanced approach which acknowledges that Jake has been poor but so has the line and receivers, you proclaim he is done and it is all his fault. You sound like a hater to me. For the record, a hater I define as someone with no perspective who sees things one sided and has no balance in his approach. They decide for example that Jake is the problem and all their posts shape information to fit that initial premise rather than evaluating new information and shaping their premise on all the facts.

For example I readily acknowledge that Jake has played poorly in several games and has made poor decisions. I readily admit that he doesn't make good decisions when pressured and often takes unnecessary risks in order to make a play. His competitive nature sometimes is his worst enemy. But I am not convinced he is done. I have seen too many examples of guys who went through rough times like Kurt Warner for example only to emerge years later and play at a high level. Time will tell and I could be wrong. I just don't jump to hasty conclusions or decisions ( a fault that jake does as well).

this. chances are great the last paragraph wasn't read by some. lol

Yeah, I'm such a hater, that I have and wear, a Delhomme jersey, still.

It has nothing do with hate, or like or not like, or blame this or blame that.

It has to do with declining performance at the most important position on the football field. His individual stats speak for themselves. His decisions, and no one else's, can single-handedly lose games, or set the tones for games.

The fact that his own coach did not allow him to attempt more than one, 4 yard pass on the closing drive says all it needs to say.

The guy got a $20 million bonus. $20 million..and for or $20 million, I think the Panthers can do a helluva lot better.

Its business not personal.

I don't know why you guys are worried, If Jake continues on route...there is no way he will still be our QB. Fox or not, I can't see how that would be a remotely smart move. Unless Jake finds it in himself to beat NO twice, the Falcons and also the Giants. We are losing the money we pay him either way. So if he continues to suck and a miracle doesn't happen, I don't see him starting next year we should look to the future. We are already losing peppers, this we pretty much know...something would probably/hopefully come from that.

Do you guys ever watch the games. When he is throwing deep most of the time he is under pressure and is throwing the ball much sooner than he would like. The ball is lofting because he has to throw off his back foot which naturally makes the ball drift. Why is he throwing off his back foot? He can't step up in the pocket because all the pressure is coming up the middle.

And a lot of that pressure seems to be coming from our 'probowl LT's' side of the field who himself just got a huge payday. Gross has not played well this season. I still think he is a better RT than LT. I also think Wharton is a much better LG than Gross is a LT.

So how many jerseys do you own, one? Just kidding.:D

His stats are poor no denying that. But there are a lot of differing opinions as to why. There is no evidence his physical skills are declining and unless you are in on the play calling you don't know whether a pick is due to a poor decision, poor route, poor protection or a number of things. Maybe it is due to all those things or a combination of several.

And the one pass against Tampa on the last drive wasn't necessarily due to lack of confidence. Maybe is was because we always want to run in the fourth quarter and grind out the yards while controlling the clock. We were not behind and in no hurry to score. Maybe it was because we were running all day already. Maybe it was because we were runnng for 5 yards or more a pop and if you can get first downs running there is no need to pass. Fox would always prefer to run if he can.

Lots of reasons things are going how they are. Haters immediately blame Jake for everything and discount any other reason. That is why you are a hater. There really is no question about it. Only you and other haters can't see it because they want to believe they are objective as well.

Won't try to convince you of that though since your mind is made up about everything it appears and unlikely to change. Just like it is about Jake no matter how he looks in the future or whether he improves or not.
