So he pays a fine (small in comparison to what they make) and sits out the rest of the game.  Yeah that's really a deterrent.   He should have been suspended at least two games or IMO the remainder of the season. 

Please don't feed me that B.S. that in real time his actions couldn't have been avoided.  I may be in the minority but I believe that directed by the coaching staff.  They'll sacrifice a player to take Cam out.  Especially if he only lost part of a game.

Cams father hit on target with his comment and it is filled with truth and it is about time someone had spoken about this and made their point known. Why did his father decide to speak out on this now and not speak out on this few years ago when Cam was getting maliciously hit?.

I hope that there is a hit similar to this to Rodgers, Brady, Brees, etc. at some point in the season and I dare the NFL to give anything more than a 10k fine. If they do or try to suspend, I am appealing the poo out of that and arguing if the dirty hit on Cam only gets 10k, then there is no reason that I should be fined worse/suspended (unless I am a repeat offender).

I think the NFL is putting themselves in a dangerous spot with these slap on the wrist fines and I wouldn't be surprised if defenses become motivated to try and take star players out with cheap shots. With the win at all costs nature of competitive sports, I can't really blame them....

Should just keep a running thread of cheap shots on Cam (I can think of 2 so far this season). Players feel like it's the best way to stop him so as long as there is this little to no punishment poo for it, they keep feeling like it's worth it.

It’s an issue with the QB position in general, especially considering the position now days heading towards valuing mobility for young QBs. I see dirty hits in almost every game on Sundays.

That asshole should be out, but the only positive to avoiding a suspension is that he can cheap shot a saint this week.  No doubt if he cheap shots brees, hell be suspended for infinity games.
