Joe Person is good at his job

On the Observer he always seemed to be chasing stories or controversies. Asking insulting or bad questions. Since he joined the Athletic his articles, questions, and overall mood seems to be way better.

I never thought Person was a bad journalist as far as the stories he writes

But he always asked the dumbest and most provoking questions.  That was my #1 issue.  Like continually pressing Cam about Benjamin after Cam already said he was done talking about it

I always like Joe and had no problem with him.  Don't understand why so many people expend so much vitriol on some of these reporters.  Sure they are not perfect but they aren't as bad as some make them out to be.

Just read the facial expressions and body language of interviewee when Person opens his mouth during a press conference.  The cringe is undeniable.

The Observer has always been petty and snarky.  Wouldn't use it to line a kennel.
