This is a get right game for the Carolina Panthers defense.

Or maybe we are just realists and recognize that this defense shouldn’t be considered a top defense until it actually shows it on the field.

Franchise history/reputation mean literally nothing when you’re getting absolutely gashed by Tevin Coleman and Ito Smith.

1 game doesn't make you a realist. Do you even know what that word means?

It's one game against a division rival in their house who has the best WR in the league, an MVP winning QB, several other solid WRs and Coleman is a top 15-20 HB easily. Our D dominated Dallas. One clunker hardly makes me think our D sucks this year... Every year under Rivera the D has had a bad game or two at least but finished the year overall top 10.

We had 3 defenders that couldn't stop Matt Ryan from rushing in the end zone.  He ran through 3 defenders. That summed up the game right there.

It summed up that play, but doesn't have the effect that our WR's (and RB's) dropped passes, and Torrey's 2 motion penalties had.  I think we win the shootout (despite our D's bad game) if those don't occur.  One play seldom determines the outcome.

they do have a healthy A.j green, Eiffert and Boyd. This is gonna be a tough game for our defence and our OLine against a good defensive front.

Read where only 2 QB' have more TD passes during that stretch of games....Brady and Wilson. Seems Dalton has found his groove with Lazor.

Here's a couple more nuggets from Yates/Berry.

Rodrigue has a good analysis of how the Panthers will be covering A J Green here:

Bradberry wants to cover Green but might have to share

Apparently the Bengals have taken to moving Green around a lot, similar to what the Cardinals did with Larry Fitzgerald against us in 2008.

The creates the possibility that on some plays, Green may actually be covered by Captain Munnerlyn
