This is a get right game for the Carolina Panthers defense.

Their defense is ranked 27th

Had a quick look and this doesn't tell the whole picture.

They have more sacks (8 to our 6) and interceptions (3 to our 1, including a pick six) than us.

They're actually top of the league in passes defended, joint 5th in sacks and joint 3rd in interceptions.

That defence is a lot better than their yds/game suggests.

Their defense is much better than their raw numbers present. However, they can be had. I've watched their two games. Their LBs are not good in coverage and they dont have the overall team speed that Atlanta presents. I believe the Panthers offense will be able to exploit that since Indy and Baltimore do not have a RB that is a consistent threat as a receiver from the backfield.

What is lost laughable about those crying about our defense, is just the history of this team/franchise when it comes to the defense.

But seems like the huddle is more full of cry babies than actual long standing Panther fans.

Or maybe we are just realists and recognize that this defense shouldn’t be considered a top defense until it actually shows it on the field.

Franchise history/reputation mean literally nothing when you’re getting absolutely gashed by Tevin Coleman and Ito Smith.

Yeah when Andy Dalton comes and demolishes this defense because we are playing Colin Jones, Gaulden, and Elder because looks like Jackson will be out you will be on here whining as well. Guess what we will be on here to tell ya about it.

Joe Mixon is out.

Gio isn't 100%.

The Bengals will struggle to run the ball making it exponentially more difficult for Andy Dalton.

The Panthers defense just had a nice ass chewing and will be out for blood.

This is a get right game for the defense.

The recipe is all there for a get right game. At home where the defense always plays better a week after being embarrassed by a division rival. Playing a Bengals team that is basically a less talented version of the Falcons, and not used to playing the same level of competition as the Panthers regularly face. By all logical standards, this should be a Panthers win.

But this is the Panthers we're talking about, on what is supposed to be a "down" year, so I could see the Panthers losing a mind numbing game that makes us all throw our remote controls across the room a few times.
