That being said, they are the 2 most integral pieces to our offense at the moment.  They both balled out versus Atlanta and would have won us the game if they would have had even a modicum of support from other players

The kid is getting better at picking up pass defense blocks and chips, as well. And we're not force-feeding him the ball, he's the checkdown guy most of the time and our WR corps can't seem to get separation.

Yeah me too I'm hoping it's more of a case of with no Olsen who do we trust while receivers are still questionable. With as bad as funchess has been may as well throw dj in and live with the growing pains...personally I'm hoping we're getting close to seeing Moore, Samuel, wright and smith with a moveable cmc to either run/block or split out wide some. That'd be a lot of speed and quickness for a defense to deal with. Force them to rush only 3 or 4 guys and no huddle/uptempo the dog poo out of them

Exactly! Can't blame Cam for hitting the guy that keeps getting open and catches everything as opposed to guys that can't

Man— maybe that’s true....

I mean Kamara had like 30 rushing yards and 100 receiving yards and everyone praised him,.. put him number 2 for running backs in the last article I saw,..

Kamara is way better than CMC at running through tackles. We could of had OJ Howard and Kamara in that draft =/

Yeh, I mean sure we all want Ian Thomas to catch up and be OJ Howard right now,.. and DJ Moore to be Odell Beckham and Sammy Watkins love child now, not tomorrow, and for CJ to get at least 10 carries and 5 receiving targets(once Cam gets some touch wow) but CMac is the most reliable weapon the Panthers have on offense right now.

hopefully Torrey’s chemistry from the last  quarter and half of the game transfers to next game, DJ gets more looks and delivers and Wright continues his Best cotchery impersonation— and Ian Thomas sheds the rookie to be OJ Howard soon— 

then im sure the offense will be a lot less CMac lopsided.

The point is Christian is getting 20-25 touches a game but instead of feeding fantasy fanatics or square minded weirdos  numbers as 20-25 carries, he’s getting 100+ yards per game total and making a huge impact on offensive efficiency.

it doesn’t matter to a win or an offensive that should have won inspite of the defense if it’s 20-25 carries or 25 combined touches that get the job done.

the best analytic is to win.

 

Love the fluff talk with no data to back anything up. I was arguing that CMC is more effective as a receiver than as RB. You do know that majority of the games Panthers won last year was when the team rushed for 100yds + .

Do you actually beleive it was magical fairy dust that helped Saints become #1 offense or was it because they had #1 rushing attack. You see their defense is poo without Ingram power run game to control the tempo of the game.

He’s only averaging 3.6 yards per carry to CMacs 4.8,...

We rushed for 105 yards last game. You did know that right?

its keeping other teams from rushing 100 yards— the defense MR Fairy dust gave up 170 yards rushing,... the Panthers win when the other team has less than 100 yards rushing which you left out or are ignoring to argue just for the sake of arguing?

using 5 yard passes are just like 5 yard runs for controlling clock— the WCO was invented on the concept.

While I grant that downfield is a big deal in the Coryell, I don't really care how we win as long as we win.

Last game we didn't, but I can't really put that on the offense.

We aren't talking about combined yards we are debating running game vs receiving.

Top 10 Rushing teams (RB w/ 1,000yds)....guess how many had winning records and went to the playoffs 9/10

If you have balanced offense with actual running game, you are gonna win majority of the games. Please stop with fluff pieces and get some actual data.
