The most disappointing thing about Sunday was the offense's reaction to the headshot on Cam

When Cam nearly had his head taken off, the only person on the team willing to do anything about it was Torrey Smith, a guy that just got here in March. None of the guys on the offensive line did jack poo, in fact, someone held Smith off Kazee. Ryan Kalil has been here forever and didn't do poo. Devin Funchess didn't do poo. Christian McCaffrey didn't do poo. If a killshot like that had happened to just about any other QB in this league, there would have nearly been a bench clearing brawl. Yet our soft guys just stood there and didn't get the Franchise's back against a division opponent.

This team has been sorely lacking in edge since guys like Steve Smith and Josh Norman were shown the door. Torrey Smith apparently has some edge so good for him. I think Donte Jackson has edge too and wouldn't have tolerated something like that if he had been out there. But I hope Tepper has a different philosophy from Richardson in that he won't be afraid to sign players that are willing to actually defend their fellow teammates out there. It's what we're lacking most.

I agree we have mainly some softies on this team. Our real fighters got kept on the bench. A lot of the ruckus on the field was our guys holding up our own. Props to smith for doing something. I wish we had an OL like Lewan who is a mean dude and not afraid to beat some ass. Oher was similar. Need more mean dudes on this team.

I would like to take this time to apologize to you because our guys didn't handle things exactly the way you wanted to see it done. I do think there are some holes in your argument though:

Cam Newton just scrambled for 20 yards after a pass play. Of course Torrey Smith would be the first one there, he went out for a route. The lineman came flying on the screen, but it was after the damage was done. What sense does it make for anyone else to hit, kick, stomp, the man that's already been knocked on  is arse? I saw the lineman come in and minor scuffles broke out but no punches were thrown. Why? Because that's automatic ejection and a 15 yard penalty and discipline from the league.  With our offensive line in shambles, I believe they handled it the best way that they could. There was some shoving, but they won't throw a flag for that... Who is McCaffrey gonna hurt? I saw Funchess standing off against Defensive Lineman? come on man.......You are entitled to your argument, but it may be a little extreme...lol

So your saying we should have just starting punching guys out and get all of our 3rd string lineman thrown out of the game. Yep that sounds smart we only have like a 10 percent chance of winning that game with the guys we had out there anyway. I thought Saca, Ace_Aladdin, and some others started some crappy threads but this might have just went near the top of dumbest one ever!

It was a late hit. I don't think the guy meant to go helmet to helmet on cam. He just made a bad judgement call. You don't just go and committ aggravated assualt on a guy because he hit your teammate with a late hit. Especially when it's a hit that wouldn't of been called a penalty 10 years ago.

If you really want to get revenge, you get ready for the next play and beat them on the field.

You might as well become a UFC fan if you just want to see guys knocking each other's heads off.

    • Here comes Frankw and his pathetic little persecution complex to claim I have a personal vendetta against one of the worst performing coaches in the league if anything I should love Canales because he’s walking proof that through the lord all things AREN'T possible.  This kind of performance is exactly what you’d expect from someone who filled the building with misunderstood Bible quotes about iron forging iron and inspired speeches about how he apologized for his infidelity by buying his wife a book deal.  once more into the breech dear friends, just like when I paid a stripper for an above the pants hand job in Orlando.
    • As dumb as it probably sounds, we should have won that game.  Defense was bad but Bryce should have been better.  Pass rush isn't a good enough excuse.
    • You and I both know there isn't a coach we could or can still hire that can "fix" Bryce Young. Even at mighty Alabama with one of the best modern coaches in college football history Mac Jones was still a better QB than Bryce Young. Mac Jones.... We already know how you feel about Canales on a personal level so in that regard you wanting him fired is not news. You don't have to disguise it behind this shroud of rabble about not fixing Bryce Young. To his credit he somehow had us competive against the Chiefs and the Eagles on the road with #9. But no coaching staff can overcome their starting QB turning the ball over 4 times. We definitely have developed some of our younger offensive pieces. And as far as Evero goes he has earned criticism and if he's fired so be it but in his defense many of us said in the offseason this defensive roster was a disaster waiting to happen given the resources we spent on the offense while neglecting the defense. That was Dan Morgan's plan. He swung too hard toward offense to salvage the Bryce Young trade. That's on him. We can scream about XL all we want but at least he's actually been on the field for the most part. The Brooks pick was a luxury pick at the time and now it is a Hurney level blunder. Dan Morgan has gotten a lot of early praise here when in reality he's unequivocally deserving of significant criticism. But if you say that some people get up in arms because he's a former Panther. Big whoop. He has just as much to prove this upcoming season as Canales. That's why to me in my own personal opinion I say one more season and then if it's more of the same say goodbye to both.
