More run plays?

Should we be calling more run plays? Typically panthers have always ran the balk almost 50% of the plays but vs the falcolns only 18 run plays and 45 passes

When your defense is leaking like a 2 dollar water hose you dont really have the luxury of running the ball 30 times a game.

I know you want him on the bench now lol

No I don’t. I just don’t share this unnatural man-love thing you have for CMC. Every post you make is about him, praising him, defending him. Tell the truth... you’re a little bit in love with him aren’t you? And you had the nerve to call people “Cam nut huggers” just yesterday....lol.

And you didn’t answer the question did you?

Should have learned that in preseason

CJ had like Brock Osweiler, Peyton Manning and those also ran trio throwing to him before Cam,... lobs over bullets.

Cam should probably have a little more soft arc to a running back anyway.

Remember what Olsen said about cams throws when he first came here. if memory serves my right it was Olsen's first touchdown catch as a Panther and Cam split two defenders to get it to Olsen.

Either way, you don’t just bench a player who has shown very good hands for his career, because of one game. He and CMC need to run more.

We're basically looking at a situation where to beat teams like the Falcons and Saints our defense has to generate turnovers. The better offensive teams take more risks, high risk and high reward. If they're taking risks putting the ball in the air a lot then we have to make defensive plays in the secondary especially INTs. The scary part is that the Falcons had no trouble running the ball when they wanted to do so, and our pass rush failed to generate much pressure. The d-line got pushed around, and we don't have the best LBing corps in the NFL anymore, so things got out of hand.

What we've seen, if we include parts of last season, is that we're no longer the team that wins in the trenches in the NFCS. The Saints can stop our pass rush and attack our LBs and DBs with ease and pretty make look slow and out of position. The Falcons o-line can actually out muscle our d-line, and our LBs just don't dominate anymore.

More run plays for the Panthers? It won't matter if the defense doesn't improve significantly. It sucks because both the Saints and Falcons are good enough to have winning seasons, and TB looks much improved, so the NFCS is hell on Earth.

Preaching to the choir there. I love that CMac is like Cams new security blanket and all,... but CJ breaks his foot off in people’s asses like 28 year old Jonathan Stewart did,.. run the dude more for real.

Panthers wouldn’t have to punt in the earlier drives if they stuck with the power running game. The point of having a running game is to keep the offense on schedule so your not behind by several TDs & forcing poo.

CAP & CJ should be getting majority of carries since CMC is more effective in the passing game. Need to run more 2HB set so the team can stay balanced & score points on consistent basis.

When the RB is getting 5yds easily CAM doesn’t need to worry about receivers dropping cirtical pass.

I thoughtythe 2rb set in the 1st qtr was working well a d then no CJ . It just strictly became tbe CMC show running and receiving. When we needed that first down on opening drive and we went with CMC and to settle for 3pts it was a wtf moment cause I was thinking CJ and CMC both in the game plus Armah. They would not have known who to cover. We would have had a TD instead of a FG. I think Norv may have tooo many weapons and just like Shula does not know when and how to use them. Its sad we should be killing teams with our run game, but they are so bent on Cam passing that they are ignoring the obvious.

I agree with this statement 100%. I said the same thing with Cap and Byrd. It takes practice to get use to the way a person hands the ball off and the velocity of throws especially with Cam cause he is very strong, not your average Qb. CJ and Torrey hardly played preseason and had vet days off. If u are new to the team there should not be any vet days off. They should work just as hard as rookies  Practice makes perfect.
