Lets say you can only fix one thing right now on the Panthers squad?

A handful of CJ Anderson zone concept runs out of 21/22 personnel. He’s a proven, violent runner with nice agility—had great success in Denver out of that package/concept. Again: balance. There are plenty of touches to go around, but an infusion of physicality is crucial—and Cam can’t be the only runner to provide it. Do a little of this, and do it early. It’s a tone-setter, and can help that patchwork offensive establish positive momentum.

Safety play. I know DE can be better, DT can be better, WR play can be better, corner play can be better. Guess what I've never seen played well on the Panthers. Safety. That's honestly what we are missing given the pass first league we are in now.

You honestly have to go back to Mike Minter to find a true difference maker at safety for the Panthers.

Minter retired in '06.

Safety.

Specifically as Igo said --- see if the 'Hawks would bite on a 3rd round pick + Butler for Earl. We are getting a 3rd round comp pick for Norwell's departure in '19, so it's really just losing Butler.

This allows our front seven to be a bit more aggressive and also can create confusion with a safety capable of stacking the box and/or pressuring the
QB off the edge. We are fortunate that Bradberry, Jackson and Captain haven't been abused yet....enough game tape gets out as the season progresses, and I fear our defensive backfield will be exposed.

Chris Harris, Mike Mitchell, Marlon McCree, but yeah we don't have a long list of great safeties in our history. And it seems when we find one, they only last a season or two or are only good for that long.

Seahawks won't move Earl and definitely not to an NFC team. They don't think they're as bad as the media or the rest of the league think they are. If they won't to compete for a wild card spot why would they move him to another team that may be fighting for that same spot?

Safety, without question.  OL can't be fixed with 1 move...but at safety there is a player out there that would be fairly cheap and can help this team.  Other than that, get some of these guys back healthy after 8 games and we can make a run at it.  Oh, and play the young players.  The DEs need some snaps and Moore should get 10 targets next week.  Cincy all the sudden is carving up defenses and that will be a serious challenge this week.

CMC has been nothing short of awesome, its ok to ride your best offensive talent.

Just anything in the Secondary would help at this point.
