Rivera rips defense, says he won’t accept poor play

The defense DID play like crap yesterday. Donte Jackson watched a guy make a lazy half cut, then chased him down from behind and knocked the ball loose out of bounds. Why don't you just tackle the guy while you're standing in his path instead of showcasing your jets when it doesn't matter anymore?

Matt Ryan ran through three defenders for a goal line touchdown! Guys were out there trying to 'put a lick on' the Falcons players rather than simply tackling them. We know they know how to tackle properly, most of them have been with the team for years. If you don't think that this game was on our players, then you're a retard.

Seems like at some point the head coach might have something to do with the players being unable to execute.

I don't know whether Tepper is leaning on him or not. My gut says no, not after just two games, one of which was a win.

That said, Tepper doesn't necessarily have to. There's natural anxiety that comes from having a new boss because they're unknown and unpredictable.

It's the exact same line who scored 6 sacks the week before.   There was no sense of urgency this week, maybe it's playing on the road maybe it's something else.

I made a post about this. The flag where Butler was called for a horse caller he was also held and the ref was looking right at him being held, but never threw the flag. Instead it was offsetting penalties.

Djackson on that run played it the way he should have that was just a nice cutback for Coleman there should have been more players their bc he forced him back inside where help should have been instead he had to be the one to hawk him from behind and make an incredible play on the ball just wished it did not go out of bounds. We couldnt recover any fumbles. There was many holding calls and I think that phantom pass interference call on djackson was the turning point from that point on we started sucking big time.

Every year is the same song and dance where RR proves to be a shitty in-game coach, but is spared but our talent bailing him out, and in the past JR.

With Tepper?  Drop another one, especially with defense being the issue since that's RR's forte, and Washington's seat gets hot at minimum.  A losing season, combined with RR being on the hot seat every other year and Tepper is getting his own guy.

Unless your team is in a rebuilding process, there is no way a veteran playoff team should be consistently giving up close to 30 points to divisional rivals......SOMETHING IS WRONG.
