Mayo, moving chains, and Lance Taylor

Three thoughts based on observations

1.  It’s pretty clear the Falcons were working on Mayo. Trying to make a MLB be an OLB is not working.  He is too slow. It also seemed that wherever  Butler was is where the run plays were going   The Panthers had no answers.    I am not sure Eric Washington has any business being the DC

2.  There was a pivotal time period yesterday  with under 4 mins in the half, knowing full well that Atlanta would get the ball first in the second half , why god only knows  that the Panthers chose that time to waste a down and throw long into double coverage   If ever there was a time in that game that they needed to run, move chains,  and grind clock and get points it was then particularly as that defense had already demonstrated they  could not stop Atlanta   Situational awareness, poor

Want to stop Atlanta, keep their offense on the bench   Very little running in that game yesterday even after it was proven that Falcons were soft up the middle

3  Lance Taylor needs to be accountable for the poor performance of the receivers  what is this, year two or three with the guy.  It isn’t working
