Funchess played 66 snaps. Moore played only 17.

I honestly don't have that much of a problem with Funchess.  He's not a #1 receiver, never will be.  It's not his fault he gets stuck there.  I still think Funchess could be good if used properly.  And I'm guessing Moore just doesn't have the playbook down, I can't imagine any other reason why he isn't starting.

Ron and John Fox come from the same school of thought. Play the vets and don't use your brain.

I swear NFL coaches do the dumbest poo sometimes. They need just an average football fan on their staff who, during games, will say "Hey coach, this is a little stupid, maybe try this." Whether it's not running it in the Super Bowl when you have Marshawn Lynch on the goal line, not designing plays to get David Johnson the ball, or trotting out mediocre talent like Funchess and Torrey Smith instead of playing DJ Moore. We can all see that Moore needs more play time but for some reason Ron can't see it (or doesn't want to).

As to your first point, I didn't count them, but can anyone doubt that there were over 50 posts heading into Sunday that talked about RR's inability to bench Amini?  Yet he did.  Amini never saw a single snap on the OL, only playing a very few ST plays.  So, no - he can use his brain.

Second, when you say, "Ron can't see it..." wrong again.  He's on record as saying in his presser that Moore needs to see more snaps at WR.

This is an evolving operation, weeding out the weak ones, and stepping up the plays for the producers.  As time goes by, and injured players return, we'll see less and less of Torrey,, and more of Moore and Samuels.  This will morph into the offense we envisioned a month ago.  Too much knee-jerk going on.

Probably doesn’t have the playbook down yet. That would be my only guess.

I really hate that excuse.  Even if he doesn't, its as simple as "hey man you run a 7 and line up wide" when they break the huddle.  Now when they play is called again he got it.  It's like reading how a gun has recoil versus experiencing it yourself.

Not to mention the rate at which the Falcons and Bears are incorporating Ridley and Miller respectfully...yet Moore was taken #1 and was heralded as the most pro-ready/high football IQ players in the entire draft.  Screw that excuse.  Can't believe it has 7 pie.

He's obviously ready.  It's not like we run a Kubiak or Dennison system.
