Thank God Torrey Smith did something in retaliation for that dirty hit on our quarterback. At least someone has some fire. We went down and scored and then the defense came out and did NOTHING on the next series. I believe they'll right the ship, but yesterday was pitiful relative to the standards this Defense usually holds itself to.

Getting gashed on the ground by a RB I never heard of before yesterday ... that was why we lost. Our so called hard nosed good defense mailed it in the majority of the game.

Bad calls are part of the game and our offense is still finding its way. If anything I was pleasantly surprised by oline play

Well, Atlanta got help from the refs on that phantom Donte Jackson PI call...flipped the momentum of the game.

I certainly don’t wish Matt Kalil was back, not even close.

For me Funchess is just like KB, he keeps teasing with what could be but plays much smaller than he actually is and has a penchant for drops at inopportune times- like 3rd down. Demote him and make him earn the spot back if possible.

Sorta kidding about Kalil, but he was a bit better at the end of last year...

What bothers me about Funchess?  When he pats his chest to tell Cam it was Devin's fault he dropped the pass.  It seems to make it better to give us all a "my bad."  WE KNOW WHO DROPPED THE DAMN BALL and to have you accept responsibility for it only pisses me off more.

Giving up about 170 yds. rushing didn't help. Mixon and Bernard are drooling in anticipation today.

Mixon might have a drooling problem, but he's out.  Bernard is average, at best.  They'll be held to well under 100 rushing.

  • Van Roten may not be the answer at LG after all.  Pity because RR is still looking to validate his role in selecting Amini in the second round.

Your other bullet points were OK, but these 2 misfired.

The brilliant acquisition of Clark to play LT allows MKalil to be left on the bench, until his departure can be financially worked out.  Van Roten has been superlative at LG.  Watch him on running plays, as he motors to the second level, maintaining his blocks and seeking a second defender to hit.  So far, not a big drop-off from Norwell, IMO.
