First of all we went toe to toe with the best team in the NFL tonight and realistically lost because of a lack of luck and a few bad turns.

If we had kemoeatu and Lewis on the defensive line for the entire game we don't give up anywhere near as many rushing yards and to that end we don't lose the game.

We had a bad luck run with a poor pass interference call and a really bad (but fair call) holding penalty on Steve Smith.

What we can take from the game is that when healthy we're good enough to beat the best and in the playoffs, when everything is turned up a notch we probably will.

Next week we face a team that we should beat with ease. Carolina should run free all over New Orleans and Smith should have himself a field day. That mean's we'll win the divisional crown, we'll walk into the playoffs as the number two seed and likely won't have to play an game away from home until either the NFC CG which would be against the Giants or the superbowl.

If we face the giants again we know Smith can beat them, we know our offensive unit can put up points and Fox has an amazing record in repeat opponents.

Right now its not the time to call for the head of Davidson, Trgovac, Fox, Kasay, Smith, Stewart, Otah, Peppers or anyone you might want to put some blame on.

The team, minus some firepower on defense got beat tonight. We're in the playoffs no matter what and we're better than everyone in the playoffs except the Giants, who we almost beat.

Lets not get so worked up, this team is brilliant, our coaches are brilliant and they're capable of reaching the big one, hell they're capable of winning it.

Midnight rule ought to be in effect. The Panthers beat New Orleans, they get the crown, they get their home field for at least one game and they get a real shot.

Its on to New Orleans.

Thank you. All of the suicidal people around here must be watching a different league, because all I've seen every season is that sometimes the better team doesn't come away with the W. Me, I think we have the Giants number in the NFCC.

IMO, it's not so much that they were missing 2 DL, it's that they don't have quality depth there that killed them. I.E. Tuck was half the player last night that he usually is because he was ill but the Giants stopped the Cats when they had to.

Yeah but towards the end of the game Lewis, Walker and Kemoeatu were on the side lines nursing hurties. That let Gibson and Johnson or someone else, didn't even recognise them in there in the middle.

Its pretty hard to stop the best oline in the NFL with your defensive tackles and their backup hurting.

this aint 2003 folks,it's not written in stone that we will beat the giants in the next game we see them in.defense seems to be the only phase that hasn't change jack poo,you play to win the game,well we didn't by allowing the giants to come back from 21-10 without answering is ridiculous
