I don't think there was anything malicious by Irvin. But After he realized what happened I think they started fugging with him because they know he is a sensitive dude. Irvin standing up, Reggie Bush "why you standing up" (lol) ... I think they are having fun with him because they probably think that is "good TV" or whatever. I'll stick to this theory unless Smitty sucker punches Irvin on live TV.  Then it's personal

If there really is something personal, I don't think it's Irvin. Those guys (Irvin, Deon etc...) are always clowning on that show. I remember another segment a while back where Irvin made fun of Smith's suit and Smith goes "I will kick your a$$" ... and Smitty didn't look like he was kidding. Smitty needs some snicker bars man :-)

Some of you may be too young to remember, but I'm not gonna sit here and pretend like Irvin was not a beast in his prime

This is what I was saying, while bringing up a few of Smitty's issues and it was just too much for some.  I wondered when these outburst were going to start showing up, because talking heads spit empty rhetoric and the players are there to talk what they know and goof off basically.  With Steveonne still taking everything personally, it was only a matter of time.  It wasn't like Irvin was really hating and he is from the hood too.  He know you stand up and prepare to defend yourself if you aren't sure about somebody in any instance.  Steve just might knock somebody out.  I honestly don't know.

Irvin wasn’t throwing shade.  It was the truth.  Smitty was in decline, but was the same mentally as he was here.  It was a little sad to see all of a sudden that Baltimore couldn’t develop young receivers just like we never could when he was here.  Also, he demanded the ball and their offense suffered just like the San Fran game when he wouldn’t come out, but couldn’t accelerate. The best game he had in Baltimore was against us because he was highly motivated and some insanely lucky bounces.

Irvin & Smitty Both were good, but Irvin was a three time champion & worked hard during his time in the league too.  And I find it funny that Steve lost his mind flipping out over commentary even though he is supposedly past all that.  That is why at the time he had to go.  Bum ass Reggie Bush trying to instigate too.

He was so throwing shade. Irvin one hell of a talent, but was on the best team for probably over a decade. With a Hall of Fame QB & coaches. Smitty did more with way less. Facts! Go back to the Falcons or Saints forum now. Troll!

Anquan Boldin (Age 30-32)
3 Seasons - 45 Games
327 Targets - 186 Receptions - 2,645 Yards - 14 TDS

Steve Smith (Age 35-37)
3 Seasons - 37 Games
308 Targets 195 Receptions - 2,534 Yards - 14 TDS

At an older age, Steve caught more passes with less targets, caught the same amount of touchdowns and virtually same yards yet Steve was washed up?

Sit down Irvin.

 Doesn’t even make sense.

Just said Smith needs to lighten up that’s all. Some of us don’t take ourselves seriously. Don’t come at me with some lame stuff like that because your feelings are hurt. Try someone else :)

They were garbage when he retired missing the playoffs and complaining about Flacco. So Steve didn't hurt his knee before the San Fran playoff game limiting him in that game?

 - Can't figure out how this is relevant to the discussion.

So anybody else had real success while he was a Panther WR during Smitty's tenure besides Moose, Proehl, and maybe Lafell?

 - Again, no clue how this is relevant to the discussion.

Michael Irvin wasn't a championship player and one of the hardest working receivers in the game?  The Ravens didn't win a Super Bowl shortly before his Steve's arrival?  Stop me when you can define these remarks as fabrications.

- Once again, in no way relevant to how Smith performed with the Ravens when he was there.  No fabrications, just unrelated nonsense.

In summation - dafug you talkin about dude?
