Rivera still wants 15 to 20 carries and 6 to 10 catches for cmc

Well at least for game 1 , we split the carries very evenly between Cam, CMC, and CJ.

Since they're all pretty good runners and we don't have the personel to have an even average offensive line. I'd imagine we're going to be seeing a lot of two back sets and a healthy dose of play actions, draws, and read option so defenses aren't exactly sure which dude is getting the ball.

It’s possible if we don’t run out the clock as much as we normally do.

One reason why they didn’t have a lot of yards last game was because of clock management on both teams. When both teams are playing close and are run first teams that means lots of time is ran off the clock and less plays which means less yards (unless some big plays occur)

I think one problem with the panthers offense for the all of cams career is that there isn’t enough hurry up offense plays. Why not run the ball, hurry up, throw some short passes and continue to hurry up the offense and tire down the opposing defense with short accurate passes?

In the Dallas game I was disappointed in the lack of production from our wideouts. If that continues then we may end being a running and checkdown offense.

Every single time we’ve ever seen Cam in up tempo he goes Hulk Smash, makes the right calls, and then we go back to slow,..

i never understood and still don’t.

I'm with @JARROD. Our offense has always flourished in a hurry up. It doesn't have to be no Huddle. But no matter what team we've used it against, it has worked. Even against the best teams. It's baffling that we don't make it our standard offensive philosophy

Ahem. Meanwhile defenses are prepping to stop CMC at all costs because of Ron's statements. While we utilize a different gameplan? Is it possible Rivera is playing chess?

Naw I'm talking crazy.

I was thinking the exact same thing. The Cowboys were really focused on CMC the first half of the game.  That is what allowed Cam to have all those big runs.  Don’t forget to mention all they talked in the preseason was how Cam would not get as many designed run plays. I think Ron & Turner are definitely playing chess. What about the screen passes they talked about & ran in the preseason.  I remember only seeing one screen against the Cowboys.

I think Norv opens up the offense this week in Atlanta.

Hard to believe we even have a different gameplan lol, other than CMC no ones really stepping up.

We basically dumped it off the entire game to him and opposing teams are definitely going to start taking account for it and eliminating it, especially with zero deep threat.
