Only one player per team will be allowed to return from IR to the regular roster, and that player must have spent at least 6 weeks on IR before he will be allowed to practice, and at least 8 weeks before he can return for game day action.

It's literally the same thing, just a name change.

Two players. But it's not designated in advance so you can't really say they are short term until it becomes clear that they will, in fact, return. We don't know if Williams or Jones are "short term" yet, that's the point.

Are they both going to be gone for at least 8 weeks? Isn't that short term?

Jarrett is just as good according to PFF, if not better. But ya know. LOL. Gullible optimism. I love it. I truly do. It's special, really.

You do know they don’t play the same position, right?? There are two DTs on the field at the same time in a 4-3 defense...I would’ve thought you’d know that, given you watch our team?

Poe = NT (0-technique)

Jarrett = UT (3-technique)

So yes, their d-line got worse with the loss of Poe despite still having Jarrett.

Gullible? You're the one buying into the naysayers so early in the season. Too early to give up on being a champ, so why be a chump?

I don't know, the fact that we've never had back to back winning seasons. We haven't won in Atlanta in 3 years? Maybe longer, and lastly, our Offensive Line is in shambles. This reminds me of 2016 all over again. But ya know, lets be gullible, because that gets people so far in life.

And 2015 started off with the injury bug hitting us, plus another "lousy" offensive line and a questionable secondary. It almost came out perfect in the end.

And that no back to back winning seasons thing? Pshaw. Streaks end all the time. Literally, they end all the time. It's hard to keep something like that going.

Poe is decent but I think people are overrating him on here. I’m much more worried about Short than Poe.

The front 4 got pressure by themselves though in a long time, they usually have to blitz the linebackers to help with pressure. Poe better than star imo.

You should be. I like Poe, but Short’s on another level.

Short is a monster and one of the best. Both him and Jarrett are a tier above Poe imo. There are Falcons fans that think Grady Jarrett is the best player on the Falcons defense.

Plus the Falcons may of found a gem to replace Poe in Deadrin Senat (3rd round pick) so their DLine could be better if Takk and Beasley have good years.
