and I have always thought Cam never got enough comparison to Favre.

When Cam Newton is on? He can make every throw in the book.  Hell, he can make ones not even in the book. 

When he isn't? Well? YAC suffers because his ball placement sucks and we miss some open guys.  Thankfully, he brings more than just passing to the position when he isn't on.

Both thought there arm talent could over come almost anything.  Which meant good and bad.  Both would pass on the easy play always looking for the big play. Both were like kids on the field.  Catch Cam running inbetween the tackles with daylight and he looks like a 8 year old every time when a camera catches that face. 

Still think Cam could grow more in terms of dealing with adversity.  He has grown there.  Still can do more.

Cam had completion percentage of 65 against Dallas, wasn't that the knock on him the critics crowed about getting his comp rate above 60%. Well it was in the preseason and carried over to last weeks game. With all these qbs like Matthew Stafford etc, tossing ints left and right in week-1. Cam is the least of my concerns when it comes to the Panthers.

I literally can handle 30 second of Deion before the channel must be changed.

Nothing is worse however than his post game interviews via FaceTime and all you hear is "prime, oh prime... you're the greatest prime".  It's just ridiculously stupid.

What’s funny is that when we where in the process of hiring Norv everyone including the majority of this forum thought that it was a bad idea, but now apparently it’s a sin to criticize him. The fact is if you told me Shula called that game Sunday  I wouldn’t have noticed a difference. I’m hoping it was just week 1 rust and jitters 

 

And who gives a fug if Cam completes 65% of his passes, I would rather him complete 59% and put up 30 points a game like he did in 2015.

Who gives a fug if we score 30 or if we score 16 as long as we win?  Of course Cam's passing numbers from Sunday arent gonna blow you away. He only threw the ball 26 times.  Hard to pile up stats when you are throwing the ball less than 28 of the 32 QBs last Sunday.  He was efficient, accurate, and had ZERO turnovers.  Throw in his beasting in the running game and you have yourself a solid game.  We were running at will and dominating on defense - we had no need to put on a aerial display.  Im sure that will change as the season moves forward.

If you think this defense can do what they did sunday for every game, yeah 16 is fine. But 16 isn't much and there should be improvement. 2-5 in the red-zone is a no no

Cause it’s damn near impossible to hold teams under 16 on a weekly basis. Also 30 is better than 16.

Last thing we need is to treat Cam like he’s fuging Blake Bortles

Every game wont be like Sunday.  We had that game in control from jump.  We should all know the way Ron Rivera operates by now.
