CMC in the slot

Watching the game yesterday I noticed that CMC didn't take any reps out wide as a WR, with the loss of Greg I would hope to see him out there some more with CJ in the backfield to help pass blocking(especially if Amini starts). Do you guys think this is a good idea or do we still want to see if he can be an every down back?

Cam doesn't. He's thrilled.

Yes, this allows the offense to go either power run or go pass with same personnel.

See this isn't the worst idea in the world when its Greg Olsen and Ian thomas, but when its thomas and Manhertz.... no thanks.

I like that idea, works for me.

Manhertz was blocking pretty damn well otherwise CAM would have been sacked more. They both can get the job done, Norv just needs to use them in the receiving game instead of keeping them only for pass protection & run blocking. Their hands can’t be worse than Funchess, need to make blitzing LBs pay for over aggressiveness.

I think there's a rural high school in lowcountry SC that still runs this offense. They don't have internet access and only listen to football on the radio.
