I feel we’ll continue to see new combos and potentially new/updated uniforms sooner than later with Tepper running the show. Who knows maybe we’ll see those beloved black helmets or even the sweet chrome ones we recently saw...it’s been long overdue for some sort of update/tinkering of the uniforms, so to me, this has been an interesting few weeks. I personally think our Black on Silver combo is one of the best looks like the NFL.

Please please bring back color rush football gods ( ps some wins would also be nice

Not possible. We have to give the league and Nike a years notice and the deadline for that was in May. The earliest we could give notice is March of 2019 and that would set us up for new uniforms for the 2020 season. The only thing we can do next year is upgrade the fabrics from the old Reebok template to the new Nike Vapor Untouchable Jersey template

We are a modern team. We don't need new uniforms. 

It’s been 23 years with those sets. Your beloved Steelers completly revamped their sets FIVE times within 35 years of forming.  

 

Our uniform have stayed exactly the same since 1995 with the exception of adding the blue jerseys due to Reebok experimenting with louder uniforms in 2002, the team finally getting out of the 90s by updating their gaudy outdated word mark and logo, adding black pants after years of Smitty begging for them, and the leagues mandated Color Rush

The Panthers jerseys are IDENTICAL to what they were in 1995

It’s time to move on. We don’t need a complete overhaul but we need to get into the 21st century. Our jersey stripes are nothing more than an ode to Jerruhs old team, the Colts.

..is it possible the team gave notice and withheld the notion from the public?

I mean it’s possible but the team didn’t have an official owner during that window and I’m sure the eventual owner wouldn’t have wanted Tina Becker making that decision since it would have left the team stuck with new uniforms for 5 years. Even so, a lot of teams already start the design process a year or two before filing with the league. The way we’re mixing and matching this year makes me believe Tepper and a design team are in the middle of the concept process and will file the change this March
