Jake Delhomme by the numbers: He's playing on a rookie level

We (as panther fans) didn't know anything, we were reading news which is all speculated. Fox was scouting Dellhome (even though he isn't technically a scout, which you don't have to be), while the panthers were watching Fox. No body knew where they were headed, but I know once Fox got here people should have known. I am not asking you to buy anything I have been going to games since that 1-15 season before fox got here, cheering for my panthers as I always have and will.

I am a panther fan and support all other panther fans but I know not all fans are like me, know your just in this to argue for some odd reason. I am not really worried about spelling or grammar police or the boogie monster for that matter so I think I'm good.

I've been a PSL owner since day one,and go to every game, every year.I'm not arguing, just get aggravated with people who don't know what they are talking about, and when you tell them they can't spell something right, they still spell it wrong

But there are no spaces in between your sentences and there is no period at the end of your last one, don't get me started on your other postings. Get it? Get how lame it is to post out on a message form about every error? It's a message board, this must be the only one you visit. It's not like I can't read your sentence, just like when I type Dellhome you know I mean Delhomme. Who cares really? You do, but like I said your trying to argue, obviously despite what you will try and say. If those kinds of things deeply upset you, I wouldn't frequent online message boards, especially ones with 'quick reply' options.

I'm on a black berry,do you know what that is? It is like a Dellhome, but with more windows and doors

This thread is lame. Jake is our quarterback until we go on a losing streak. Then Moore will get a chance. Until then we will stay with Jake. Because Fox is stupid or stubborn? Of course not. You don't change quarterbacks in the middle of a winning streak no matter how they are playing. Coaches and players are a superstitious bunch. You always stick with what is working (read winning) until the worm turns. Then you make changes if you are going to do it.

Who doesn't know that?????

You mean another losing streak? Pretty sure our losing streak this year is longer than our winning streak. I'd really rather not wait for Jake to lead us into another losing streak, he tried his damnedest to get it started this past week.

If we win at Home the streaks will be even. Plus any rational person would tell you that Jake was not the reason we lost at Dallas or Atlanta. The reality is that he and a terrible offensive line were responsible for the loss to Philly. But he has been far from the reasons for the other losses. Look no further than a -10 turnover ratio, a poor defense for first the 3 games, poor kick off and punt coverage teams and even very reliable guys like Williams and Stewart coughing up the ball at the worst times.

As for Tampa, his pick six doesn't make a difference if we don't allow a kickoff return for a touchdown (against a team with only 3 in their history) and Stewart scores instead of fumbles near the goaline. Sure Jake was not very good and although it is fashionable to blame everything on him these days, he was hardly the only panther trying to give the game away.

I agree with you about the Atlanta game but not the Dallas game. Our D only have up 13 pts against Dallas. If our offense didn't disappear in the 2nd half The Panthers would have won.

You do realize Jake has more turnovers himself than over 20 other teams right? If your handing out blame to Stewart in the Tampa game then I believe Jake and his redzone pick in the final minutes of the 4th quarter in the Atlanta game deserves a bit as well right? What does history have to do with this years Tampa team?

Jake is not the only reason we started so poorly, obviously. However, he's supposed to be the "leader" on offense right? All I ever hear when I bring up just how average Jake is, is how he brings leadership and fire to the team. Well, I haven't seen much leadership or fire in the offense this season. So if he can't even provide that, all he brings are well below average quarterbacking skills this year. Seems a change could only provide a moral boost from what I've seen from the offense this year.

I knew Jake was going to throw that INT over the middle agaist the Bucs, and I think the radio crew knew as well. They were sayng "ok Jake, now here's a chance to take what the defense is giving you, we have a lead, no need to try and force something.... AND IT'S INTERCEPTED!" I couldn't help but laugh, I was telling my friends b4 hand that he was sure to throw a pick on that play. Jake has a real problem with throwing to wide open recievers. He hates doing that. I don't know why. He loves it when a reciever is bracketed by 3 or 4 defenders, he'll stare right at the reciever in triple coverage, and the Safety makes a break toward that reciever, Jake throws. It's the exact opposite of what a QB should do.

Just a prediction, our QB coach will be fired at the end of the season, along with our special teams coach. There is no way they stay employed for doing such a horrible job. The QB coach should be forced to return all of his salary, and the special teams coach should be punched in the face by the Big Cat himself.

That's the offense that called five running plays in the second half, right? In the first, Williams ran seven times for 44 yards. Delhomme threw 16 times. In the second Williams ran four more times, while Delhomme had another 19 passing plays.

Obviously our offense didn't work, and it's Jake's fault for not morphing into Tom Brady on the field. Pay no attention to the offensive coordinator who apparently forgot that our QB has never been able to carry the team like that. It's easier and more popular to bash the QB, right? Do you really think Moore would have done any better in that game?

I don't expect you to swallow the shorts, but you had better chew them. As a side note, I have decided to start a drinking game. Every time Jake makes a terrible throw, I'm going to take a shot. That way I can enjoy the game even if Jake is playing like a high school QB.
