Jake Delhomme by the numbers: He's playing on a rookie level

Who are you trying to convince? Some of us believe everything wrong with the panthers is Jake's fault, some of us believer that it's a total team failure in the passing game. Your spinning your wheels.

nobody. Ive just never seen the actual numbers. and wasn't aware that they were almost identical to Sanchez. I didn't know.

Might want to get some updated stats. These are before his meltdown. I think he's around a 83 qb rating now in the playoffs and something like 8.17 yards per attempt.

What are his stats in the playoffs after his TJ surgery?

How many interceptions until it's no longer labeled 'just a bad game'? He isn't the all time worse, I would label him average...it's more of thinking of what we could be with an even slightly above average quarter back. But it's Carolina football, running the ball, and a quarterback isn't all that important when all you do is run. I am not saying ditch Dellhome in the middle of a season but it seems we have no interest in our future or have any prospects in case Jake continues down the spiral, as EVERY other QB has who has had the surgery.

But he just signed a contract...who knows what's going to happen, just like their games lol...it really depends on Jake.

    • See, there's this whole thing about get your "Franchise" QB and you're golden. Except, well, it's crap. Look at the Jets, year after year, trying to draft that dude, never hitting. Then they go out and wrangle Aaron Rogers. And they're still crap. Why?  Because they haven't built a team. Their o-line is suspect, their defense is leaky.  A QB isn't the answer, until you've got the rest of your units up to at least middle of the pack quality.  Think about how long it took us to get right after drafting Cam. Phenomenal talent, impactful player, still took four years of team building before he took off. And on the other side, if you build a strong pair of O and D lines, then work hard at developing your skill players, someone like Jared Goff or Sam Darnold can come in and have success. Brock Purdy can get you to the Super Bowl. Trying to find your "franchise" QB at the top of the draft isn't a luxury pick, it's most often a wasteful pick. Get you the best d-lineman, tackle or linebacker in the draft.
    • I like Landon a lot, I believe he is going to be a beast at the next level and can, more than likely, get him in later rounds.
