They do . People hejre will claim to be football fans...but are just as fragile is snowflakes. 

And i know you are not asking me with realness, buit I will answer anyway because im a bit drunk and still awake. Smitty is Smitty. A character and an all time great for the Panthers. BUT,,,the Panthers today are not the Panthers he knew. His presence imo is not beneficial to our current team. He himself as a former player may be taking a ride down memory lane and seeing some old faces. Coll for him. Do that in off-season. 

 

Now however when we are cutting down to 53...and solidifying our unit.....here comes 89 doing what? saying hello but also bringing that old Gettleman baggage to our new atmosphere. And for what? what benefit? Everyone knows what happened. I dont see him here for anything more than his own memories...and a distraction for our current team

Not sure why you wouldn't think I was asking "with realness"?  I just know that if somebody is as passionately against Smitty attending a single practice, then it's more to do with said individual disliking Smitty in general.  His presence at practice will have no positive or negative affects come gameday.

Respect that Panther#89 when you see it youngins. For all intents and purposes that # is retired. Nobody other than JR has given more of themselves to that football team year after year. Show some mthr f'n respect if you claim the black and blue yo!

I don't want to hear any sideways talk about #90 either! Carolina Football legends!
