With Samuel Out....who takes his role

Wright.

Samuel was WR4, not sure what role you expected of him. The coaches were even surprised to see his revival. He is a luxury.

We will have plays designed for Moore, but don't expect Moore to go out there and run the deep cross field routes or back shoulder throws.

I can't remember whether it was the day of the announcement that he was having minor surgery or the next day but RR said that Samuel is the speed slot receiver. I understand what he means. He may be a WR but he still moves like a RB in space. He shook the poo out of #24 when we played NE and then messed me up with the fake outs before going OB. The kid is going to be a star here eventually. Mark my words.

I am sure that Samuel had a big role in our offense.

Byrd and Smith are speedsters but really not in the mold of Samuel.

It will be interesting to see how Norv's gameplan is with Samuel out.

I'm not.  I think we saw more of him in preseason because Norv wanted to see what he could do.  That doesn't mean he would play over Funchess/Wright/Smith.  Irt game experience, he is still a rookie.

The few snaps that Samuel would have gotten will be taken by Moore and Byrd.

We won't know till next week but I believe that he will have plenty of snaps in this offense.

I have never been one to say #1 or #2 receiver especially in this offense.  I believe it will depend on what Turner is trying to do.   The combinations are endless and the way he wants to spread the wealth around our receivers makes us more dangerous.   Case in point.  When KB was with us we seemed stagnant but once the trade went down and Cam started spreading the ball around we became a better team.

Go Panthers
