Yea living in Texas I'm around a bunch of Cowboys fans, strangely they are pretty pessimistic right now. I think the Cowboys have the same problem Panthers fans have with their older white fanbase hesitant to root for a black QB.

Yea, except for the guys I work with in Irving are all gung ho and saying how the game isnt going to be close and Dallas is going to embarrass Carolina. I just laugh at them and go back to work.

Why wouldn't you talk about Troy and Tony, they were great QB's?  Dak has potential but he hasn't done anywhere near enough to be mentioned in the same breath as either of them.

Troy Aikman was a great quarterback. He should probably be in the discussion for top ten.

Tony Romo was never really that good though. Being the Cowboys quarterback got him overrated by a lot of people.

He's a phenomenal analyst, though.

Most cowboy fans hate Jerry Jones and until he sells the teams nobody revelant will coach for that place ever

The OP doesn't really reflect what I was reading there the other day. According to them, we stand no chance.

They honestly don't know much, even about their own team.

wait...so you mean they are supporting and confident about their own team? Just like 100% of people here were when asked to predict the game and ALL had us winning? Shame on them! We have this busted up o-line everyone has been griping about...and an iffy secondary just ripe for being exploited. Yet even though we all have been discussing it for weeks and months....EVERYONE here expects to win. Yet their fans are stupid and dont know their own team because they are blinded by the same loyalty 99% of us are? LOL bro.

Look at the numbers of these 2 QB's side by side and tell me who the better QB you think is:

QB 1:

12 seasons as a starter - 61.5% career comp. % - 32,942 yards - 165 TD's - 141 INT's

QB 2:

10 seasons as a starter - 65.3% career comp. % - 34,183 yards - 248 TD's - 117 INT's

Who would you pick?  Not saying Aikman wasnt a great QB, but Top 5 all-time is ridiculous.  He had maybe the greatest supporting cast in modern times.  Romo was a very good QB in his time as well.  It's just that he was stuck with today's Cowboys, and not the Americas Team Cowboys.

I'll take the one who quarterbacked three Super Bowl wins over the one who barely got one playoff victory.

I don't really pay attention to stats. They're too easily skewed. Stats would make you think Matt Stafford is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

No sir i did not. I quoted your post that assumes the fanbase of another team doesn't know their own team because...well...they support their team and think they will win.

Just like US!

We are no different than them. Our fan base regularly overlooks our weak points and ppl say gung ho fug it we will will 35/17.....or whatever people predicted. Our fans are no different than theirs that you alluded to. We hope and believe in our respective teams....bro

Yea Aikman was a good Qb but he shouldn't be in anyone's top 10

I hate the rings=tier 1 QB argument. Joe Flacco has a SB win. Hell until that defense willed a decrepit Peyton to a 2nd ring, people would say Eli was a better QB than Peyton because 2>1. And that's as far from true as ever. Rings don't automatically equal GOAT QB because the game is played on both sides of the ball.

You took me post, and took it somewhere I never had it. But thanks for getti g on your soap box, I'm sure you feel better for it.

You did misquote me. It's quite obvious you did, because I didn't say, or insinuate anything that you are accusing me of. Thank you, and good day.
