I swear, Matt Ryan has got to have the weakest arm out of any supposed "top flight" QB.  Those deep outs he throws seem to just float out to the WR.  Good thing Julio commands so much respect on the outside, that is an easy pitch and catch everytime.

Ryan...

I thought the last five minutes of the game were enjoyable and sort of made up for a poor start.

Flukey punt return play really helped Atlanta, but they got hosed on the no catch call on the bomb to Julio.

The INT on the pass to Goedert make me think sometimes Ron might have reason to be a little wary of a young guy early on in the season.

Officiating was brutal. Though it did benefit the Eagles, I hated the RTP "body weight" call when the Falcons had the Eagles backed up. As a team built on pass rush first, this is going to bite the Panthers in the arse hard.

I really wish Julio played in another division. He's a James Island kid and went to the same high school I did. I'd love to be able to root for him.

That rule has to be one of the worst the NFL has ever conceived.

Agreed, you have to draw the line somewhere right?  I mean some folks get upset if you ever say anything negative in regards to rules implemented for player safety....but this one is pretty damn weak honestly.

Was such a boring game I fell asleep as the first quarter winded down.

Have to admit with the way ATL was driving the ball the whole first quarter, I was sure i would wake up to the news that atl wins, but instead this!

Very nice to wake up to indeed

It actually got pretty exciting at the end.

Seemed like Goedert's nerves really got the best of him in that game.

It's his first game as a rookie, so he's got plenty of room to improve.

Glad the shitbirds lost, but what an incredibly boring, uninspiring game. It even started out on the wrong foot with the weather delay.

I fell asleep at halftime and only found out who won when I checked my phone as I was depositing Trump statues in the toilet this morning.

Worst game I’ve seen in a decade. Officials gonna get a call from league office I’d wager also telling them that 50 penalties is a bit excessive.

I've definitely seen better Thursday night openers, but some of the recent Monday night Week One games have been way worse than this one was.

I remember one with the 49ers while back (I forget the opponent) that was just awful from beginning to end.

At least this one had a decent final quarter.

Dude I was excited to watch the game but didn’t make it to half time because of how boring it was. I knew when ATL kept getting FGs that they were in trouble. They could have been up 21 easily.

As soon as they called that, I said the same thing. I also said there was no chance in hell that Cam would ever get that call, let alone getting taken out at the knees for a penalty. So that should be interesting for us...

Pretty much. It's basically the NFL saying "Hey, you can tackle this guy but not below the knees or in the head ( unless you are Cam Newton ). But if you do tackle him also make sure you don't land on him too hard either." It's getting to be borderline ludicrous.
