"Two States, One Team"

If the team ever moved to SC you kinda get the feeling a lot of the NC fans would disown the Panthers

I disagree.. but that’s ok.

The silent majority is a lot larger than the 100’s here that are vocal on a message board. 100 of thousands, watch to see this team every week across both states .

Lived in Charlotte for 18 years, Raleigh for six, Durham for two, Greensboro for one. My family has had a beach house in North Litchfield, SC since the 60s. I gotta say, the folks in that area of SC are nicer BY FAR than anyone I've come across in NC ... albeit a lot dumber ... but nicer. Hell, people here in Brooklyn are nicer than people in Charlotte.

I'll never forget growing up in South Carolina and watching the local news one night with my grandfather. An NFL team was coming to the Carolinas. I remember watching the logo being revealed and the motto of two states one team and the logo of North Carolina and South Carolina without a border. I knew right then I would be a fan for life. ( and I have been) I never ever in my wildest dreams would think that Panthers fans would try and hate on other Panthers fans when we literally have people selling their tickets to fans of opposing teams. My nephews already know they can only root for the Panthers. So for anybody that wants to hate on S.C. Panthers fans you can fug right off.

Am I the only one that thinks this new slogan and logo...sucks? It's pretty cheesy.

Couldn't agree with you more. Slogan should always be "Keep Pounding" and midfield logo should be the Panthers logo that appears on the side of our helmets. Nuff said

On the survey I put Keep Pounding as my first choice for slogan.

I'm all for pulling fans from both states. I'm absolutely against this seeming push to replace "Keep Pounding". Seeing "Two States. One team." on our draft hats instead of the obvious "Keep Pounding" just plain sucked.

Honestly I like both quotes. I could see putting that logo and "Two States. One Team." or "One Carolina" on the front of the hat with Keep Pounding also along the back of the hat or possibly even vice versa. I don't think you really have to worry about Keep Pounding getting replace given it's story and what it's history represents for this team.

I just really don't see us EVER getting rid of Keep Pounding though given it's story and what it's history represents for this team.

Lots of fanbases cross state lines. It isn't unique. Keep Pounding is unique to the Panthers.

Actually, it's at least historically accurate. Carolina started out in the 1660s as one colony. It wasn't until 1712 that the one became two. Since then North Carolina, stuck between South Carolina and Virginia, has often been referred to as "a vale of humility between two mountains of conceit."
