I really do believe that he is deserving of the Hall of Fame. Some career stats are as follows:

1031 receptions, 14.3 YPC, 14,000 plus in receiving yards, 81 receiving touchdowns, 55 receptions of 40+ yards, 641 first downs.....all for a guy who stands 5'9" (in cleats).

....and created many great memories.

Good stuff, but I had to stop watching at 2:30.

Steve Smith quotes:

I body slammed him, so I think that’s really a testament [to] their lack of strength and conditioning coaching down there in Tennessee. Five-nine, 194-pound guy body-slams their linebacker. Man, he needs to get his weight up ~ Smith on dragging Titans linebacker Avery Williamson

I kind of tried this thing this offseason – made a pact with myself – I look in the eyes of all my victims before I take their lunch money.

Family members get to see you play. Ex-girlfriends that wished they wouldn’t have dumped you, they’re questioning themselves right now. So, it’s fun.  ~ Smith, when asked on playing in primetime.

"You can try to contain me, but you can't stop me"

"If you see this face, that means I scored!"

Instead of talking to the media, why don’t you go watch some film?’’ Smith said to Dwayne Jarret.  Jarrett gave a slight smile and kept talking to the media. Smith, followed up in a very strong tone. "Seriously!"

Just having fun. I don't make excuses. All I know is that whoever's lined up there, when they throw the ball, I've got to catch it. If you line my mom out there, I've got to catch it over her too."

"You don't think I'm one of the best?  You better check your reference!"

"Whatchamacallit was talking to me in the pregame," Smith said of Smoot. "When somebody is banging on your door, I am not going to hide in the corner . . . I am going to open it."

Smith opened that door widely in a 11-catch, 201-yard and one touchdown performance in which he used a row-boat celebration to mock Smoot and his teammates who had a role in the infamous Love Boat scandal.

In his second year in the league, the Rams’ Jenkins picked a fight he probably came to regret. Apparently, Jenkins did some research before the game and tried to use the personal information to tweak Smith, who finished with five catches for 69 yards and a score.

“What I don’t like is a young guy, comes in, obviously his first time ever using the Internet and Google, and he Googles information about me, talks about my wife and stuff like that,” Smith explained after the game. “That’s kind of some of the (B.S). I just don’t play with.”

“What specifically was he saying? That’s all I’m going to say," Smith said. "I don’t play them games. When you try to take it personal like that, I don’t have any great humbling things to say. So he can take his (rear) back to St. Louis and watch the (expletive) film because I don’t play them games. And if I see him in the streets I’m going to punch him in his (expletive) mouth.”

This was Smith disapproving:

But wait, there’s more. Later in the week Smith returned fire again:

“It sounds like he needs to wear some condoms,” Smith said of Jenkins, who had four kids with three different women as of 2012. “That’s what it sounds like he needs to wear.”

“You can ask my wife about my stamina,”

Look at him bullying Cam :eyeroll:

Gettleman you shithead

There were issues there.  During his “A Football Life”, Greg Olsen said Steve didn’t want to start over with a rookie QB and they wanted to make it Cam’s team.  Who knows what went on behind closed doors. Teams  part ways with older players. Happens all the time. At least none of our GMs are like the cheatriots.  Other than Brady, they have paid second contracts to almost none of their home grown talent.  Yet few of their former players whine, bad mouth, or flat out eviscerate them once they are gone.

Let it go.
