I certainly hope his career trajectory dramatically shifts upward after this, because up until now, it has been really, really discouraging due to freak injuries/situations out of his control.

I don't think Samuel had a load of health issues in college, but neither did Dan Morgan.

Sometime this stuff is just unpredictable.

As the previous posters have mentioned, it is likely an ablation procedure to knock out an atrial fibrillation issue (Hence it being deemed minor).  Essentially they use catheters to burn/scar the piece of heart tissue that is functioning abnormally.   I've had the procedure done for a ventricular tachycardia arrhythmia which is more serious.  They ended up putting a defibrillator in me as a precaution. 

If successful, my guess is that he could be back relatively soon.  I know guys that have had the procedure done and were as good as new in a week or so.

You don't need therapeutic AC regardless of your CHADS2 if you arent in Afib, which he shouldn't be after an ablation.
