Yep, graduated and took a job in Baltimore. Not sure which games I’ll be able to attend just yet, depends on my work travel schedule.

Well, congrats on the graduation and landing the new job.  I am sure you will knock it out of the park up there.

The NFL doesn't make profits from a PSL owner selling his tickets. Seriously think about why the heck they'd like this.

You sure that is an accurate statement? NFL Ticketexchange is linked to my account with the Panthers. When a PSL owner wants to sell their tickets they can do so right from their Panthers account on NFL Ticketexchange. You just click on the game you want to sell and input a price. They list the tickets and when someone buys it the bar code for the ticket transfers to the buyer.  I can get a check or credit for next season's tickets. when it sells. Do you really think the NFL is doing this as a courtesy for the PSL owners or do you think they are getting a cut of the action?

In addition to 'a cut of the action', the NFL is getting data on the real market value of their tickets, and their buyers.

Tepper has stated that one of his goals is to make sure Panther fans give the team a real home field advantage on game days.

How to accomplish that? Don't know, but I don't doubt that he's going to try.

They could adopt the model that Blumenthal did:

RESALE OF OUR TICKETS FOR MORE THAN $10 ABOVE FACE VALUE IS PROHIBITED.

  • Each Ticket that you purchase from us is a revocable license to attend a particular performance. You agree to not re-sell any ticket you purchase from us for more than $10 over the price printed on the ticket. We have the right to revoke the license for a ticket and void the sale if we find that the ticket was re-sold for more than $10 over the price printed on the ticket.

I'm not that familiar with it, but if it works...

To fight against scammers who use computer programs called bots to purchase large quantities of tickets and then charge theater fans inflated prices – such as $600 for balcony seats to the recent production of “Phantom of the Opera” – Blumenthal is stepping up enforcement of its six-year policy against reselling tickets for more than $10 above face value.

That includes voiding overpriced tickets purchased from online resale sites. As reported by The Charlotte Observer, Blumenthal is also considering implementing paperless tickets for “Hamilton,” meaning those who purchase tickets would need to present a photo I.D. and the credit card used to purchase their seats in order to see the show.

Blumenthal reserves the right to void tickets that violate its resale policy, and routinely has exercised that right. Since you won’t find out the tickets have been voided until you show up for the performance and have them scanned, this makes paying for marked-up tickets — whether through private individuals or online brokers — an awfully big risk.

2 things:

1. Y'all act like there will be 20,000 Cowboys fans there or something.  With a stadium of over 75,000 folks, the vast vast majority of whom are Panthers fans, the 5-10,000 Dallas fans wont make much difference.

2. Most people who sell their tickets online have no idea the allegiance of the person buying them.  Its not like these sites make you fill out a fan loyalty survey before you buy.  They put them up, someone buys them.  Supply and Demand, unfortunately.

For anyone looking for PSLs, Duke Energy is selling PSLs in section 203 rows 15, 16, and 17 for $3,500 each (same PSLs are priced at $10k on the Panthers website) and they are eating the transfer fee. Tickets are $1,160 each season for 10 home games. Up to 4 available in each row. Here's your chance to buy and keep the other fans out of the endzone seats.

Do these people have to buy PSLs where forced to buy tickets every year or lose their seats and PSL or do they just buy tickets to the shows and resell them? Like it has been stated. Many PSL owners have moved, have got too old to go or cannot afford with the almost 100% markup of ticket costs in the last 5 years. Some maybe also are in a different financial situation when than when they bought their PSL.

Also sports is totally different than a theatre performance. Like said many times before when a team is horrible fans that cant go to game will get pennies on the dollar for their ticket. Never heard anyone bitching when they buy  tickets cheaper than face value. Why is OK for PSL owners to lose their shirt on selling tickets to games they cant go but not OK for them to sell a few games for a profit?

My guess is they were purchased when the stadium was built and have no need for them now. They've been listed on our employee Portal for at least 5 years. I'm just now making it known publicly for my fellow Panther fans.
