The team is expecting a record number of visiting fans for a home opener on Sunday

I will cheer them on but I cannot entirely blame PSL owners. The PSL environment leads to more selling of tickets. People move or get too old to go and want to sell their PSLs but can’t so more cost effective to sell tickets while waiting for PSLs to sell. Plus ticket prices have gone up tremendously in recent years. My tickets in lower bowl were $97 five years ago. For this game it’s around $190 a ticket.

I will be there cheering them on Sunday but I can’t blame people that sell them.

I guess I should save my ire for the PSL system itself more than the PSL owners then?

I think that's a good idea. Look at ticket sites pretty much every game except for Dallas, there are lots of tickets going for well under face value. PSL owners are stuck in an awful investment.

I blame the for profit PSL owners. The stadium should be policed. And a PSL should be revoked if you never use your seats and only sell to opposing fans. There are plenty of people who would buy your PSL and actually go to games.

What is the issue? Visiting fans means outside money coming into the city! We all would love an all Panther stadium...but in the grand scheme of things..all those visiting fans will be paying for our new practice facility,  perhaps a new stadium in time, giving money to the city to offset whatever costs Charlotte may be asked to share in the future, great bars downtown to drink at...etc etc.

This argument that PSL owners are sellouts to the team because they sell tickets is bullshit. Those people made a GREAT investment..and can enjoy the games and pay those prices for food and beer....or sit at home..collect a 50% return on their investment, and enjoy MUCH better beer and food at a fraction of the price.

    • Canales was brought in to fix Bryce. That was how he sold himself. He failed.  the panthers need a new qb, someone to coach him, and someone to build a defensive staff.  Canales has failed at developing a new qb. His big draft project XL is trending towards bust. His entire nfl resume before the panthers was one season as offensive coordinator on a stacked Bucs team, and being on the offensive staff when a 31 year old Geno smith finally put it all together. And he didn’t even pick his offensive coordinator. Assuming evero is gone, who’s he got in that phone to call? What low lvl porn addict evangelical from the bucs is ready to be Peter principled? There is nothing in his coaching history or his current performance that indicates he’s the person to move this team forward. Every other team knew this last cycle (panthers were only interview) and nothing has happened to change that perception   all people like you have is “well you can’t do it again it’s too soon but <random interval of time> will be different.  just pull off the bandage. There’s no reason to let this guy draft “his guy” except people wanting an excuse not to fire him after 2025.
    • Both Reich and Canales were saddled with trying to build and establish a viable scoring offense around Bryce Young. The best the offense looked this season and last season was with Andy Dalton who is also terrible but still better than Bryce Young. Which should be all anyone needs to know but still somehow there are weirdos here salivating over a ceiling of maybe on a really good day the 25th best QB in the league. We've already canned one entire staff over our first overall pick. You can fire everyone again to satisfy your need for vengeance and quickly come to the realization that your next hire will absolutely unequivocally be a downgrade yes man or you can blow up this QB room and then assess. If no progress next season then you can make changes and justifiably so.
    • Surprised this is the only post with this take.  This is like the Rhule kiss of death lol.
