OFFICIAL: Panthers Trade For OT Corey Robinson

" Robinson was a seventh-round pick for the Lions out of South Carolina in 2015, playing in 23 games and in starting eight. His career has been hampered by foot injuries -- including eight missed games last season.

He left Thursday night's preseason finale against Cleveland with a foot injury

Did we trade for a player who is injured because we have injuries at T?   Is it possible that he is released when Kalil returns, meaning we get his services for a game or two?

He would be solid depth, but we don't need depth on the IR....

That makes sense. Maybe wait for Thomas’ price to drop

A few teams could QUICKLY become sellers with guys we like.

  • Seahawks could struggle, and yeah, Thomas
  • The Redskins losing a few games, with our CB situation...I wonder what CB they have that already knows our defense and could start immediately?
  • A starting OT, much like Duane Brown to the Seahawks last year, could be exactly what we need.
  • DE could also QUICKLY become a massive need with one injury.

Having more space during the season is a smart play right now.

A much needed healthy body, help hold down the fort at RT for a few weeks until Williams is healthy.

Robinson played in 23 games, started 8. 26 years old.

We gave up a conditional 7th round 2020 pick.  Salary a bit over vet minimum.

We need OT help desperately. This is a start.

I'm gonna assume it's minor because otherwise yeah, that would be odd.
