Bulluck isn't a malcontent. He's a team leader and a good player. Annoying him would be the equivalent of annoying Jon Beason. Reading between the lines it sounds like he and others are willing to be "good soldiers" about it but didn't find the incident all that funny.

For his part, Fisher is coming off like a guy who's miffed at having to explain himself, but likely also realizes he'd have been better off not doing this. Most of us have probably said something we thought was funny and a little edgy and then had to apologize for at some point. That's where Fisher is now. Given the general situation in Nashville, the timing isn't good.

Bullucks right, some people are ok with it and some aren't. That point is proved here with Epi/Dimbee and others opinion that it was no big deal. But it obviously wasn't something he planned to do to motivate his players.

In the end I'm just damn glad Fox didn't do it, wasn't funny and I see enough poor judgement on Sunday's.

I don't care what charity it was for. This was a bad move by Fisher, and he should be fired by now.

Because of it? Not by itself. He's clearly lost this team. But to step up and basically insult his team and organization publicly like that... bad move buddy. If I was the owner of the Titans I'd be handing him his pink slip right now. He's lost the team. The season is clearly lost, and getting a new coach in there early may save some growing pains next year.

that's the crazy thing about this stunt because that was the universal opinion out there prior to this happening. Nobody put Fisher on their "hotseat" because the second he becomes available imagine how quick Snyder drops Zorn? Or any other owner with an opening flies into Nashville?

But now the result of this innocent event is to make the unspeakable speakable, Fisher leaving the titans.

I know there's a lot of perception that Jeff Fisher is a great coach. Personally, I like him a lot as a coach, but I'm not really sure the level of esteem he sometimes gets is borne out when you take a cold, hard look at his career.

It can rightly be said that Fisher has something Fox doesn't have in that he's managed to coach consecutive winning seasons, and more than once. It's also true that Fisher has something else Fox doesn't have in that he's coached back to back losing seasons, also more than once. Fisher has coached to a draw (8-8) four times, including a stretch of three straight early in his career.

So objectively speaking, if Jeff Fisher is a "great" head coach, then so is John Fox, and arguably better.

Does Fisher have the longer tenure? Certainly. Does he have the better tenure? Some would make that argument, but you'd be fighting against the numbers to do so.

The OP called for opinions, I gave mine. Fisher made a mistake. He has recognized it and apologized for it but this "innocent" action will stay with him the rest of his career so blowing it off as a joke is not recognizing reality.
